Hi. :)

I didn't see a ffshrine 101 post, or a noob help post. I have things I can share, but I don't really know how to upload, how to post them according to your preferred format, etc.

I do digital image composition / cg art for a living, sometimes I do fun things for the challenge or just for a friend. I might make a cover / avatar, etc. Is there a forum for that, and what are your policies?

Respectfully,
Heidi Rice

Hello, welcome to the Shrine!

Although I don't really deal with the DL section, I do know there are stickied threads about how to download, what is allowed to be uploaded etc in each download section. As a first step, here are some of the more helpful topics:

Thread 28687

Thread 31761

Thread 98850

Thread 28230

Thread 98919

As for visual art, there is a specific art section on the site as well, but it's not very active as far as I'm aware sadly (many years ago I posted some of my own art in there and it barely got any attention :(). Don't be discouraged though - post it anyway and you might find someone may like it. :D

Oh thank you so much Enkidoh, I will take a look.
I like looking at other people's work--can you link me to your art? :)

Sadly I don't have any of my art stored online anymore - I used to have some of it displayed on an old personal website I used to own, but that's been defunct for many years now sadly. A friend of mine has been trying to convince me to set up a Deviantart account, but.... seeing some of the artists on that site... they kind of scare me. o.O

If you're really that interested though I guess I could post some of it in the Art section of this site. :) Beware though that I really only work in pencil on paper, and monochrome at that.

I love working in monochrome, but I prefer working in vivid color or pastel shades. It's fun to narrow your palette and see what you can accomplish with fewer colors. I think most of us that work in digital media started with pencils, charcoals, or my favorite: crow quill and ink. I will look for your stuff in the Art section and talk to you soon. :)
