I've downloaded all the jdownloader updates.

What JDownloader are you using ?

0.9.581. I also clicked on the "Check for new Updates" button.

I don't know if this is related but I'm also unable to download from MediaFire. When I try to do so, the page just refreshes and it doesn't give me a download link. It was working fine several days ago but the last couple of days I can't download from it.

Sometimes, when you get Plugin Errors, try to restart and reset the Download.
Also make sure you have the latest Java runtime.

If nothing helps, do a fresh installation.

I currently use JDownloader 2, and Mediafire works fine, so the Problem is on your end.

That link isn't working. I don't know why it says "online" either if it's isn't. Sometimes the link works and sometimes it doesn't. When it is working I enter the captcha and wait for the countown to end then I click download and only THEN does it tell me "the page is not currently available". I tried using Hotspot Shield as well but I got the same thing.

I'd prefer it if the file was uploaded on 4Shared or Mediafire to make it less of a hassle trying to download it.
