I notice that there are very few mentions of any embarrassing moments inyour computer gaming life so I decided to open a Forum on this topic. Here is the place where you get to hang it all out.

I'll start first. Most embarrassing moment was the time my sister beat Jenova birth for me. Ouch, that hurt for months. AND SHE HAD NO EXP AT ALL IN PLAYING FF7!!! owwww:eek:

Yes... FFX... My sister and I had been trying to beat Seymour on Mount Gagazet. It was after out fourth defeat that my brother dropped by, took the gamepad, and beat him... Just beat him... Argh...

Cant say Ive had any like that.....

Ouch, Misao! That has got to hurt! Seeing an elder sibling beat your record or score really hurts , esp when He or She has no EXP at all in the game that you are playing.

Here's another major Boo Boo I did while playing D2. I was using my sister's Necro and I was in the Arcane Sanctuary. I was face with a line of Wraiths and so I turned to my sister and told her watch the expert Play. How Niave! I thought I could use the Necro the same way as the Soc.

I had to be scraped off the Floor.

Nuff said.

More annoying than embarassing. I tend to have a short fuse when playing games, always have since I was around 10. So needless to say the 1.5 years I have owned my PS2 I would say I have gone through 3 controllers and last night my 4th got to meet my wall and he didn't survive either.

One story though was it happened to my mate. In the first Metal Gear Solid on the 1st PS. My friend was at the end with Solid Snake fighting him, he must have done it 10 times, I took the controller and won first time. Though I had finished it before I played it at his house..

My fiance beat me in Worms last night :(

First time she'd ever played the game :(

I sent her to our room :D

I remember deliberately letting my Dad beat me at Streetfighter 2 Turbo on the SNES back when I first got it. Mainly because I wanted him to continue playing against me for lack of a proper opponent anywhere.

I remember being disappointed in coming sixth in the school's Streetfighter 2 tournament, despite the fact that I'd never played the game before in my entire life at that point.

I seriously can't think of any other moments. My sister beating me at a beat em up is probably the only thing that comes close.

Well, ofcourse I've had the accidental deletion of save file x_X or save newer game over older but better game

Most stupid moment has got to be losing to a 10 yr old kid in SC II, just because he only kept tapping A and Y....AAAAAAAAAAAAH

That was very sad Veritas........ but it couldn't beat mine stupidest record.

I was playing Halflife with my friends and I got the gun that allows you to fly. I started to get cocky and I camped at the top of a building. I was camping happily, waiting for someone to pass by when I saw this red dot flash past my game screen.

The next thing I knew I was blasted to bits by a rocket. AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I do stupid stuff all the time in Max Payne 2. I'm like "woo, grenade" and try to throw it through a door, but it bounces off the wall and lands at my feet, I panic and fall over some ledge or something, or get blown up.

Ok Zikan here's my most embarrasin moment.. in fact quite a lot of things actually :p haf a gd laugh everyone

1)Playin MGS fer the 1st time.. & gettin spotted 6 times on the helipad.. an all i did was to hide at one corner hopin da bad guyz never catch me...

2)Playin MGS2:SOL where my fren was directin where ta go.. i was in the warehouse collectin ammo an stuff where i happen ta go into a room with sensor C4s.. my fren told me STOP STOP STOP but too late.. BOOM!!!

3)Tryin ta beat Sephiroth in KH but cudnt do it.. den my fren popped up.. & beat em.. wid my Sora.. waaa...

4)Playin C&C for the first time.. an i tot tat the MCV was an attackin unit.. an used it ta squash the enemy.. :cool:

5)Playin C&C an leavin 80% of my troops ta guard a barren desert land..

6)Losing 13-4 in Tekken 4 to my fren's younger bro..

7)Last one: Askin my fren wads da BUY button in CounterStrike...

All of you havnt expierienced embbaresmentlike mine i may even spend half my life and money on therapy.

I was only 8 but still i was playin FF 6 and my bro told me if i cast fire3 ice3 and bolt3 on my own party i would get 5x the exp then he laughed himself to tears and couldnt stop for 15 minuets.

Playing Max Payne. Pressed the fire button too soon when reloading the grenade launcher, and it shot into the floor directly in front of me.

In a tournament at the NASCAR simulator that used to be at Arbor Place. Should've known something was up when all the other peeps in the tournament were in their thirties and up, giggling like high school kids. Anyway, got out on the track, got going at a decent speed on Daytona... and then all those old peeps started ramming each other and turned it into a demolition derby. So I just turned and started going the wrong way around the track, went all the way back around and plowed into the middle of the huge mess they had going at about 200 MPH in the simulator. Looked real funny in the replay, but the other peeps didn't like it because it jostled the hell out of them when I plowed through them.

They should've thought of that before starting some shit, though.

And in FF7, final boss fight against Sephiroth. Cast KOTR once, he died. I was like, "What?! Is that it?! No WAY!" Not necessarily embarrassed myself, just thought he'd be more of a challenge than that based on how hard all the other bosses were. I mean, heck, even Proud Clod survived KOTR once.

I was playing space invaders on the PS, all ready to play and i got hit by the first bullet, i just ran into the slow moving thing...no idea why.

I remember once finishing Sonic 2 on SMS in like 15 mins when i was about 7, now I have trouble just finishing it lol, sorta just embarassing in general.

I don't do many stupid things when it comes to console games :P

Worms is the greatest game ever! Merl and I were on a kick where we'd put hours into worms each and every night. We need to figure out a way for us to play together....

As for my most embarrasing moment? I killed myself while trying to get into the warthog in Halo. THREE FREAKIN' TIMES IN A ROW. I have too much gamer pride for that....

A recent embarrasing moment would be in Max Payne 2. I was playing the game at a friend's home, somewhere just after the start of the game you are chasing someone. You enter a big hall in a warehouse and a forklifter is speeding towards a big steel case in front of you in attempt to push it over.

I am seeing this all happening and I am doing NOTHING, so the lifter hits the case, the case falls over (I am still doing nothing) and moments later my whole screen is red :x

Another, yet rather funny one, would be versus my little brother in Soul Calibur 2. You can try this aswell, it's hilarious. Time limit off, set your health to infinite and ONLY fight on the Ice Arenas. This is great for kicks. In attempt to overwhelm him at the start (I was playing with Cervantes), I tried knocking him straight off with the Beowulf move. Fonrtuantly (for my little brother) he only took a small step to the left and I missed him completly. The match lasted for 2 seconds.

Playing Diablo2 I was rushing some low levels through hell and they had gotten all their fiends so it was me - level 82 sorc and 7 kids under level 20 against Hell Baal. Well if you don't play D2 then you wouldn't know Baal has huse mana burn and he's hard to beat with a sorc, let alone with 7 useless people standing there just upping his power. So I kept dying and then they all left without paying me for getting them that far. Stupid pricks.

My most embarrassing moment would be playing Mario 3 and not being able to make a simple jump. Me and my friend were both being just a little retarded and ended up just turning the pad over and shouting "Its not working, its not working" while my mates bro watched and laughed. What a fool I am.
Maybe another one would be playing Marvel Versus Capcom 2 against a friend with no experience or interest in the game and getting whooped. In fact, being beaten on any game by a complete novice is quite embarrassing.

i totally agree felch_master.. my fren doesnt agree but gettin beaten by a complete 3 yr old in Tekken Tag was damn embarrassin..

There ish a stage in Ninja Gaiden 3 near the end of the game that has one of those quicksand gimmicks. You know, stand in one spot for too long, you gradually sink, then die. The boss room ish no different..

This particular night I had gotten further than ever. I'd never even seen this boss before, I was on my last life on my last continue and had to beat him on my first try.

Typo succeeded! I drop the controller and run around for a few minutes to celebrate, only to return and be greeted by the title screen. A few friends were over.

Countless times at work when I've been humiliated at Pro Evo 3.

Yesterday I humiliated my chum on Fifa 2004. I was 2 goals up in under 10 minutes. I laughed all up in his face. Its such a pain being good sometimes. I played him at virtua tennis 2 and got my ass kicked though. I beat him at all his other games though. Im a god on Tony Hawk and DBZ Budokai. Red Aleart 2 is a good one for being humilliated on. Online im pretty crap so thats always quite funny, fun though.

I was playin Vice City yesterday...first time ever since like 1st Jan.. aniwae i was on the mission where u were supposed to kill the guy at the golf club... the mission where the guns werent allowed.. yea so i mananged to use one of the buggies and at the rite time clashed with the target tat was ridin in his buggy into the water.. yea.. u usually die when u fall into the water.. so in i fell as well.. the timer was too fast.. WASTED!!! MISSION FAILED!!! :eye:

I spent about an hour the other day with my little brother doing Rikku's hardest mini game on the thunder plains on ffx-2. I kept getting 29/30 while my brother was getting about 26/30. Guess who managed to do it...(clue, it wasn't me). The shame.:o

HEY GUYS! I'm back. Junior college life is terrible. I can't even go onto the internet for days on end. I like to thank you all for posting in this forum. It's nice to know that I'm npot the only one out ther who has embgaraasing moments.

Okay, here is form the ultimate loser in wc3. I was playing in this wc3 tournament in my sch. I was pitted against this total noob. I was using night elves and he was using humans.

Round 1, I swept the floor with him. He was trying to tech up to gryphons and I got him unprepared. I wreacked havoc, then ran away to build hippogryphs. He tried mass building knights, but to no avail.

Round 2. I was trashed. He mass build 20 gargoyles ran into my hippogryphs, and ripped them apart.

Round 3. I was playing orcs, he was playing undead, mass building gargoyles. totally flattened. OMG, I didn't know what I was doing man! Playing orcs against mass air is the worst way to go. ARRRRRGGGHH

ermm.. take it easy.. tats something called.. a rematch!!

I don't have a most embarassing moment per se, but I think the fact that I'm addicted to all Final Fantasy games (except Tactics, never could get into that one) and yet have only beaten one of them (7, specifically) is maybe a bit embarassing.

Here's another story from the loser in games.

I got my hands on UT2004 demo. Playing against the bots was so damn easy that i was living up to my nick. For all those who don't know zikan refers to the most profilic sniper in ww2 who got 225 fritzs in stalingrad. So i decided to fight against my friend. one on one.

I got my ass whuped with a capital W. He killed me off in 6 differnt ways. OUCH! Most of the times I was on the receiving end of the link gun. The whole screen would turn green before I died. That was so bad. It hurt.......hurt so bad........

Well..

First time i played FF VIII...

I had no clue on what to do..

Couldnt do junction, or...anything..

And was stuck at the communication tower for a month...

Sold FF VIII and swore that I would NEVER play an FF again..

Friend came round with his FF and helped me.

Now im happy he did, cause now im FF Mental!!

Anyways, Kinda embarrasing

I have been beaten by noobs at certain games and well....every time on Age of Empires online I am embarassed cause they wipe the floor with me:(

Soul Calibur 2. Ice floor stage. My brother, a noob, did a flying kick with Maxi to my Kilik. I flew off the stage. 2 seconds had passed..

I'll try to ease your pain by telling you one of the more embarassing ones that I have heard.

There was this map my friend was playing in Wc3ft. He was playing against this noob who was using humans versus his undead. My friend was out creeping when the guy creepjack him. His death knight was low on health and the guy had a MK. My friend thought that he was screwed. The guy totally ignored his Dk and continued to creep. My friend retreated with his force then proceeded to follow the noob around albiet at a safe distance.

The guy was like creeping around the entire map and ignoring my friend. It turned out to become like an RGP game. MY friend was laughing non stop about it when He finished the map. He trashed the guys ass flat when he was out creeping. How's that for a lame battle?

speaking of which anybody here playing UT2004? I need somebody to train me up. PM me and let me know about it okay? thank you so much.

Ooohhh two embarrassments stand out for me. The first was that up until 2001 the best console i owned was the mega drive (or to put it another way, FFIX was about to be released yet i hadnt played FFVII).

The second one im proud of, but its still embarrassing. By a mile the game series im best at is Tony Hawks. I can score 5,000,000 point combos for fun, without any cheats. So i made a videotape of some highscores and sent it into PSM2 (a PS2 mag in the UK if you dont read it). Unfortunately i also sent a photo of myself with the tape, and it got published. (my names Daniel and they were THPS4 scores)

That's cool but I can get 19 mil :D and once on Tony Hawks I as well mogknight didn't know where my own base was once.

wah seh, it's been a long time since anybody posted in this forum. so to liven things up, I, your friendly neighbourhood game loser shall tell you more embarrassing situations.

I was playing this 4 man ffa map in WC3ft. i was playing undead and there were 2 orcs and 1 night elf. I was left alone for the most opart of the game and since nobody disturbed me, i built my frost wyrms in peace. the only action i saw was when i did hit and run attacks against the orc player situated next to me.

I attached a shade to the orc player army. and then proceeded to wait until his army was having an engagement, then i attacked his base with 6 frost wyrms. He quitted straight away. but while i was attacking his base , i lost my shade to an area of effect spell. so i did not know what the last player was using. I thought that he was using only 3 heros.

how wrong i was. when iattacked him, he had 8 dyrads. now for those who don't know, frost wyrms attacked with magic damage while dyrads were immune to magic. i bravely attacked his base and destroyed his tree of eternity and all his wisps. however, i did not have any troops left.

he killed me off using his dyrads and his heros

This is not Embarrassing but anyways i was telling everyone how i was the best at NFS:underground with the best car and skill right so my friend ask to V me so i picked my great car and he pcik his car we started to race and i was losing big time and i lose 2 times it was shocking

Um....most embarrassing.
I lost like 22 times in Super Smash Brother (N64) to a FREAKING 6 YEAR OLD.
:( that was sad.

My most embarassing moment was more hurtfull then anything else. It was my frist time playing FFX and I had saved at the last save spot for a break before finishing. a friend came over and wanted to start a file on the game so after making shure my file was saved I restarted the system. my friend played for an hour before saveing. he had never played a FF game so he didnt know how to save. I went to save it and accedenaly saved over my previous file. I had to do everything all over again. :(

NONE, of these compare to my most embarrasing moment. I attended the year event in london called "Playstation Experience" (Which was really cool actually i got to meet Hideo Kojima). Thousand of people attend there. Its quite a big event. Anyway, they have an event there callled "Challenge Stage". Random people are called up from the audience to compete for prizes. By some random luck i was chosen to play soul caliber 2. My opponent... A girl who had never ever played it before. Well i think you can guess what happened. Infront of at least a thousand people. With myself projected on a big screen. I lost. The croud were laughing at me, they wouldnt stop. My eyes wandered across the crowd to see these people laughing like there was no tommorow. I had been disgraced. I trunced off stage and went and hid in the toilet :P. Stayed in there for half an hour, came out and just kept my head down. I shall never forget that day :(.

Not anymore, at the time i had never played the game, or the soul caliber before it. They told her the buttons and not me :O. I was used to tekken controls and i pressed back to block :(. Needless to say i brought the game after this and played it alot. Now i'd own anyone :p.

id have to say my most embarasing moment in gaming was when i was playing halo in the arena at my local g2k games (whitch is a big room with 20 or more computers) i was playing the biggest noob i had ever seen he set the game so there were no vehicles but 1 banshee...and as you guessed he whored it the whole time...finally i managed to kill him then as i was doing the infamous victory hump he got me with a headshot....then when i respawned he had the banshee again every time i would respawn there he was to mow me over not bothering to even consider the guns or the fuel rod cannon and i lost like this for maybe 10 minutes till i quit....then a 8 year old kid who had never played came and wiped the floor with him...i was totally discrased because im a usual there and im one of the best there...i was humiliated....

okay, here is another story from the ulitmate loser. I saw this player playing a 2 v 4 map. 2 orcs versus 2 humans and a nite elf. The two orcs were rampaging through the map killing all the archmages. The two guys were going, " where is the old man? Let me help reduce the ageing popl in s'pore!" yadda. No sooner were the archmages out of the altar were they killed. It was so hilarious. The nite elf player was even better. She was building huntresses only. So the two guys sent over bat riders to settle the nite elf base. Damn hilarious.:D

listen to this. I know now I suck at football games, but once i did not know this...
I bought FIFA 06 and played it for about 4 months, always winning. I thought that I must be very good so...
It was Christmas and about 15 friends came to my house to celebrate. What happened was that I asked if anyone can play good FIFA and that I am going to kill him in it. What I did not know that one of my friends was once in a competition, an real ultra player. He did not only wipe the floor with me, but the walls and the celling, and all before my friends. I played with Arsenal, he with Bolton.
