Thank you for resurrecting rare LP. I've only heard a theme Davis recorded with RPO in 90s.

This is such a great find! I used to have this on LP then cassette - both of which are long gone. I kept waiting for it to be released on CD but I guess that's not gonna happen! My early experience with Carl Davis' excellent work lead me to his later score for the silent Thief of Bagdad - if you love Scherezade but always wanted more - you'll love what he does with Rimsky-Korsakov!

Thanks so much, I have always loved this music. I heard sections of it played live to accompany a screening of the silent movie SHOW PEOPLE in Glendale during the 1990's. When Marion Davies drove down Hollywood Blvd. for the first time, the orchestra played the Hollywood theme from this series and when the audience recognized the familiar sights - seventy years later! - they started cheering.

Awesome share! So many thanks...Carl Davis is the cream of the crop! I wish some of these companies would release masters from old vinyl in digital format...I would love to buy some of those titles, even if the original composer can no longer benefit...

Is it just me or is anyone else having problems with mediafire! The download goes just fine but every time I unpack a file it is corrupted this is the error I get---> (! C:\Users\Scott\Downloads\HPart2.rar: Unexpected end of archive) I repaired the rar file but still get an error! and its only through mediafire...damnedest thing I've seen.

My dad had the book from this, and possibly the LP. Don't think I ever listened to it though, so this is a welcome opportunity.

Thank you for this. I have been looking for it for over 25 years, when I stupidly passed it up in a store thinking I'd find another copy. I still have a copy of the series on laserdisc with the hopes it will finally be released on DVD.
