Am eagerly anticipating mine from UPS sometime today. I have managed to not dl and listen. How are you guys liking it?

Well I listened to it, and it's quite good I think. They have included many of the themes composed by Mark Isham and the essence of the series is there.

However, I think it would have been wiser sometimes to give these themes a proper cue, standing on its own, instead of mixing them together like it's done in 'Unhappy Endings', which mixes Emma's Theme (one of my favorites, which is barely present in this soundtrack =( but which had previously been released in some odd format before..) and a sad version of the Love Theme (which also didn't get a proper long version and only appears here and there in the cues..)

And, another thing I noticed, it seems that no actual music beyond episode 14 (or so..) has been included. Nothing covering the last storylines of the season, NO SCORE FROM THE SCENE WHERE SNOW EATS THE APPLE - GOSH I SO WANT THAT CUE IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL - and apparently nothing from the finale... So I am wondering if it was on purpose. After all, if they release a proper CD with score, why not go through all season??

Apparently to get it out? This has to have been in the process for a while. Those episodes hat not been written yet, let alone filmed and scored while this cd was being produced. Also it was a winter filler, no way to know if it would actually last, or get renewed at the time....I have a bunch of cues released either on the blog or through on line downloads. Not great quality at all, but one cue is called Emma's song, and is just a bit over 2 min. Some work in audacity might help it, if that is your thing.

I have no idea what is on the cd, if track names are diffrent (and the appear to be), or if they are incorporated in somehow.

Yes these I know already and this is Emma's Song I was talking about But I don't know how to use Audacity to enhance it..
As for The Queen's Curse, Belle's Story, Things are changing...and Orchestral Suite, they are included in the soundtrack. Only Orchestral Suite gets split in two: Orchestral Suite itself with the original ending heard in the Pilot and The Clock Moves covers the last part.

Are you sure it was a winter filler? I think the show was thought as a pretty real real new show, supposed to be renewed should the audience follow.. I mean, it's not like it was a 9-episodes series, just to air in vacation, like The River for example. It consisted of a full 22 episodes season..But I agree with you on the fact that the CD must have been wrapped while the show was still unfinished. What a shame...

I am pretty sure, because I subscribe to TV guide, and they made a big deal out of it getting picked up for a full season. It was always an iffy proposition, and at first, I did not care for it at all, but now it has sucked me in. Dammit.

Did not start til October, and ABC picked up the remainder of the season....so it was a hedged bet that paid off. May be why the OST only covers the front half of the season....

Love this show a lot. Been watching last couple of days. Love he music heard when The Queen (Regina) walks up to Snow White and Price Charming in the first episode to interrupt their wedding. It's the same tune that always plays when she's walking as The Queen, not as Regina.

The music playing during the recap of the previous episode and the main title tune are also good ones with the end credits theme not bad either.

But are Intrada releases allowed to be posted?

I wouldn't care. I didn't download it. It's missing stuff. I'm a fan of released OST's missing stuff. It's like why bother releasing if it's gonna miss some things? In my opinion, if you're gonna release it, release everything.

Well the OST to Season 2's gonna show up here sooner or later so maybe it'll be on there. That tune's too good not to be included at some point.

Update: I'm buying Season 1 OST off iTunes so I'll probably do that for Season 2 too. But for those who don't wanna wait can order it now on Amazon.

I just hope it has the full Evil Queen cue since according to Urban Mire, only 10 seconds of it is on there here, it was bumped from the season 1 OST.
