Ahem… Howdy, everyone! After about two mere days of playing this game (and Pok�mon LeafGreen) while watching the Olympics, I finally took the time to record the songs with localized sounds and vocals. Only the most notable ones were chosen, so stuff like Hole in One and Remix 2 were nixed for this little compilation. If you want those, head on over here to snag the official soundtrack! A few things to note just to play it safe:

As Tyeforce and a few others suggested, I played through the game and lost about three times on the stages I chose to record in order to bring up their demos at the Caf�. This shaved off a TRUCKLOAD of time, and for that you have my utmost gratitude! <3

As with some of my earlier contributions, I used something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Stereo-Cable-for-iPhone/dp/B000T4JARQ) (same brand, different model) to connect the game audio from my TV to my computer’s mic, using Audacity to record it. Not the most optimal of setups, but with any hope it should suffice.

I feel that I should apologize for some of these, particularly Remixes 7 and 10. It’s not possible to access demos for these two stages, so I took the plunge and did my best to Perfect these to the best of my ability. With the setup I mentioned earlier, there’s some tiny bit of lag between the actual game and the audio reaching my ears through my headphones. I gave ’em at least five tries before choosing the best-synced one.

All in all, I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did making it! :3

The RAR archive above (and at the end of this post, for the skimmers around here) holds the six vocal songs found in the game "Rhythm Heaven Fever", known in Japan as "Minna no Rhythm Tengoku". The song list is as follows:

1.) Tonight (Remix 3)
2.) Lonely Storm ~ Cool (Karate Man)
3.) Dreams of Our Generation (Night Walk / Staff Credits)
4.) I Love You, My One and Only (Remix 8)
5.) Beautiful One Day (Remix 9)
6.) Lonely Storm ~ Heat (Karate Man 2)

These were ripped straight from the ISO in the form of a .brsar file, which I extracted using "ripping mama" (not sure which version, but it worked). The resulting .rwav files were converted to MP3s using foobar2000. The quality is 320kbps, so I hope there isn’t any loss in quality or anything.

I also tagged them to the best of my ability. The only thing missing that this novice is aware of is album art, but I’m sure it’s not a big deal for something like this.

Also, the RAR is labeled "A" because I’m still wondering if I should record "Perfect" version of some of the stages with localized sound effects. I’m extremely good at the game (don’t mean to brag, of course), so if the recording quality comes out alright on my test recordings I may go ahead and spend a day or more on this. What do you guys think? :3
(Unfortunately, I’m a poor college student with no fancy equipment, so I can’t guarantee bona fide quality.)

Also, thanks to the magical powers of the Internet (yay, e-mail notifications), I saw you requested Cheer Readers 1 and 2. Unfortunately, the voices in those and many of the other minigames are sound effects, so they’re not in the actual music data.

However, I just finished the test recordings I mentioned back there. I did my best to not mess up on these following stages while recording them to my computer:

1.) Air Rally
2.) Ring Side
3.) Cheer Readers
4.) Bossa Nova
5.) Love Rap
6.) Love Rap 2
7.) Cheer Readers 2
8.) Screwbot Factory 2 (funny story, it came up in a Perfect challenge so I figured I’d record it as well)

I didn’t bother making them 320kbps since they’re recordings. I decided to step it up a little bit and mix each of the songs with the respective music tracks from the Japan-only 4-disc official OST, in an attempt to give them a bit more oomph! I’m not sure if that was a good idea, but they sound pretty good to me.

Wow! I’m so glad you put up Localized Selection B. You did a great job grabbing those perfect runs. I really appreciate you getting Cheer Readers 1 & 2 and Ringside since they’ve been stuck in my head all week long. I don’t think there’s too many other mini-games with localized sounds in them. Interestingly enough I think Donk-Donk is one of the ones that was localized with new voices.

Thanks for these! Also, if you’re interested in recording perfect version of each song (DO WANT!), there’s an easier way to do it. If you keep messing up on a stage, you can go to the Caf� and view a demo of that stage being completed perfectly. You could just start a second save file and purposely mess up on every stage so you can view and record the demos. Another benefit of doing it this way is that if done this way, the recording will literally be perfect. Even if you get a perfect score on a stage yourself, there’s always room for tiny bit of variation, so your own play through will never sound exactly like the perfect computer-played demo in the game.

Please, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease do a perfect run of all the songs, and perhaps a few minutes of some of the Endless Games, Rhythm Toys, and Extra Games.

I would be eternally grateful to you.

You’re welcome, guys! Tyeforce, that’s a great idea– I never though of that since I didn’t know the feature existed. I just finished getting all my Perfect medals with a Flow of 138 on my first file, so I don’t feel very keen on messing that up. I’ll go ahead and start another file and give that suggestion a try. It’d certainly relieve some of the pressure since there’s a smidge of lag between controller input and the sound coming out of the computer when recording.

Glad to hear my test recordings sounded well, though! XD I was a little worried, to be honest. It’s not top-notch quality, but it’s something to hold you all over until something better comes along, I suppose. (I…suppose! Yeah!)

I’m not going to do every single stage since some of them are unchanged from the Japanese version, and can easily be found on the actual OST (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/110824-minna-no-rhythm-tengoku-complete-music-94840/#post1908430). I’ll do just the stages with changed voicing and such.

Hmm, the Rhythm Toys seem pretty redundant to record, but I can give the Endless and Extra games a try. I can’t guarantee every single Endless game, though.

I would also appreciate it if you’d put up recordings of the demo perfect runs. Not saying that I doubt your skills (haven’t actually listened to the ones you did already yet), but if there’s a way to get it absolutely perfect then it’d be nice to go with that.
