Yep. As a gamer, I tend to find myself playing a lot of RPGs, and try as hard as you can, bar online games, RPGs are only single player affairs, with no scope to introduce a second player within the game.

I thought my enjoyment of gaming was dying a little bit, and then my mate Chris and I plugged in two control pads and dug out WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth.

Hilarity ensued. For about five hours, we played this game and had as many different match types as we could. True, a lot of our fun came from mocking each other's inability to pin a computer opponent, or for somehow getting DQed by hitting one of your own team-mates (o_O) but we forgot about time and just had fun.

Anyone else got any stories of 2 Player Gaming (or even more players), where they've forgotten about time or what not?

I'm also interested to see which games are mentioned, as I think I might get a collection of them in. :)

I used to play General Chaos on the Mega Drive with my sister loads. We lost so much time on that game. We'd work together to try and win, but one of us would fuck up some where, then we'd be like "RIIIIIGHT!!! Thats it, me, vs you, now" and we'd fight it out on there amongst ourselves.

Later on, I started to play Perfect Dark with some friends from 6th form and this would go on until the wee hours, sometimes stopping to play Mario Tennis and F-Zero-X. The I got a multi-tap for my PS2, then TimeSplitters would come out, along with my friends ISS Pro Evolution and some tennis game he had which I forget the name of.

Since then, which was about a year ago, I havn't played any 2 player or more games :( None of my uni friends video game all that much.

UNREAL TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

Well you know what I was about to say after that, so I won't.

Two players....two players...ahaa! My siblings and I love to play Tekken Tag Tournament. We often play Battle Team mode or Tekken Bowl, it's all good fun.

Then there's Co-operative games like Gauntlet Legends. It's really good, except when the youngest one takes all the food whenever your life is down to 50 O.o. "Hana! Leave the meat alone!!!!!" Is what you would hear myself or my brother saying quite often.

I'll just make a list...

Vampire Night
Dynasty Warriors 3
Capcom vs. SNK2
The Bouncer
Quake 3
Time Crisis 2
Gekido
Kuri Kuri Mix
Aqua Aqua 2: Wetrix

Those (and the others previously mentioned) are the 2 or more player games I can think of that we all play a lot.

BTW. There is an rpg for 4 players. It's very old and I doubt that it can be found. It's called 'Blade and Blaze' I think. I can't remember who made it.

Heh. There's always ebay ;)

Back in the golden days... you know what I mean... I played through Secret of Mana with my sister and a frind of mine. It took us four days of almost-pure playing, and was absolute fun.
Back then we also played Super Mario Kart... Great for playing with a friend.
Lately I've turned towards solitary playing, though...

I've played Secret of Mana through the end with a friend 10 years ago (yeah, time passes by...) and I recently whipped my friend for 2 hours and a half at Soul Calibur II... Not to forget my many "duels" at different incarnations of Capcom fighting games against one of my best friend, him taking Ken and me taking Ryu.

I had some co-op fun, but since I'm more the RPG gamer, not much. Except of course with my second favorite type of games, fighting ;)

I acutally have a RPG that can be played with up to 4 players at a time. It's for the PC and PSX called Blaze and Blades. It's really fun, there are different classes and you can really make a great party that way.

Of course there's Diablo II LoD which I've played insanly much (read hunting for a specific item untill 4 am :x), Unreal Tournament Red Faction, Neverwinter Nights, Warcraft III and StarCraft. And of course Ragnarok Online.
