I was just wondering what this game is like. I was told by one person it was kinda like the mini game on final fantasy 7 where you saved the bird. I was just wondering if it was worth getting.

I assume your talking about chocobos.....and whoever said that probably's never played the game.
The game is a tactics style game..ie ogre battle, vandal hearts (although MUCH better, in my opinion)
It definitely deserves the name final fantasy. It has a great storyline and gameplay (depending on whether u like tactics RPGs of course) the graphics (although becoming a bit dated) and the music is awesome too.
It's one of my favourite games!

the person who told ya must have turned off the console after losing the battle at Gariland City (2nd battle)
first of all, FFT characterizes itself by the following:
1. It's not a real time 3d game
2. Excellent plot
3. amazing sountrack
4. unique battle system
5. jobs
6. tons of characters
if you are the type that looks more into storyline or plot, than graphics, this game is the way to go.
if you like graphics, go nintendo pokemnon shit

the battle he was talking about was the one in condor fight where you hire soldiers, and buy rock releasers and you stop shinra from scaleing that mountain. There wasn't any Chocobo involved. Well I seen this at wal-mart for 20 bucks, sounds like its worth checking out. If I don't like it, Im not out a bunch of cash.

How can he mistake the greatest game in the history of strats for the horrible battles in the fort condor. I hated those!
