I find it hilarious when people put down ff6,and then compare that cartoony game known as:Secret of mana.
Secret of mana is not as serious or steampunk as ff6,its more like pokemon is to dbz as to secret of mana is to ff6.

Secret of mana is all very bright and cartoony.

I personally really liked the very 1800's ish towns,i liked narshe a lot with its pipes hanging out,and i liked that the characters in the town that is just south of zozo looked like victorian age guys with wigs.

This is to you toppoz.

I find your argument weak, because kefka is not just violent, but sadistic.Look at his cunning moments, like poisoning of doma, or killing emperor gestahl. He may be funny, not stupid.Your argument is that he is a bad villain because he has little behind him, and i think he is a better villain than most, if not all, because the lack of symphathy.Sometimes simplicity is the best.Besides, it helps that the characters were trying to find inner peace, and he was constantly shattering their hopes and dreams, because he liked inflicting pain and suffering. Its how he effects the characters that is supposed to link with the player.

You don't need a tragic story for a compelling villain, if you aren't meant to relate to them.Think of ted bundy, or the btk killer.and tell me if you can understand their mindset while they did their act.The answer is no, because unless you are a psychopath, and condone acts of torturing and killing, then there is no sympathy needed.

Second:Another reason why i think he might be the best villain:He gave all characters and the player more than enough reason to kill him. Some villains are there to foil, others have interesting characters.Kefka was so evil, that you wanted to kill him.It also developed the characters, because you felt sorry for those having to deal with kefka, and a relationship between the hero/heroes is very important.Take golbez for an example:He would have made a much better villain than zeromus, because of the relationship between him and the hero/heroes.Another example, is seifer. He is the complete opposite of squall.
One person once said:Kefka is the villain you love to hate.

Third:He makes the plot dramatic, and makes you care.

Uh, who exactly bashes FFVI? Usually it's regarded the vast majority of FF fans as one of the greatest FF games ever (if not the best).

Other than hardcore FFVII fanboys and girls though, but then those Sephiroth-groupies don't count. ;)

There's a thread dedicated to bashing VI, here

It didn't start that way, but that's what it ended up being. The last time I ever looked in it, at any rate. Present a proposition and someone will inevitably take up the torch.

It has to do with toppoz.

He he calls him a joker rip off, and told me to find the killing joke, which i guess is a book?
I don't do comic books sadly.I never really cared about comic book super heroes, and i don't think kefka was like the joker in the original game.Sure, he has a strange outfit, but so do a lot of ff characters post ff7,
like tidus, and edea. This seems like a cheap insult meant as an excuse to not play ff6.It wasn't my first game either.

I do hope ff6 gets a ps3, or 3DS remake, but i'm afraid Square enix will ruin it, like how they ruined ff7 with countless cheap spin offs, and countless fanservice, plus, bastardizing great characters, like setzer.

So, you call him out in a thread of yours which went unanswered for almost 9 months? :eye:

I'm trying to persuade him.I find his response unwarranted, especially coming from someone who likes shallow bishounens as a villain.Maybe i'm being unfair, but i think he is unfair too

I'm really... flattered...?

No, I don't like shallow bishounens as villains. Seph just happens to be one of the kind but still, he is the only one.

I've never said that people shouldn't play FF6 or dislike kefka, I don't bash FF6 either. I find the game to be overrated (Yeah FF7 is Overrated too) and I have my plenty reasons to talk about what i find wrong with the game. I'M ENTITLED TO MY OPINION, OK?.

Dude, you shouldn't persuade anyone or go in a witch hunt to crucify someone because thinks differently than you.

What are you?, a fanboy or something?

And this is your last warning, next time you try to pull something like this I'll block you off and report you with the Moderators for harassment, this isn't funny anymore, it's pathetic. Thank you though for not sending more PM's.

Although now Enkidoh and Neg are more informed on what's happening here apparently.

All this drama for a game that I happen to like but hate a few aspects of it.

Seriously.

EDIT: FYI, FF6 do not gets bashed.

Let Jessie or Mandi know. We can't do anything about PMs.

Can you block someone from PM'ing you? I think you might be able to set it where only 'friends' can send you messages of either variety.

We could close threads he makes if they're of the FAO: Topopoz variety. That's about it.

Well, there is a Blacklist in your profile you can add people to, so if you need to Topo, you could always use that, and yes, you can also set it so that only those on your Friend List can PM you.

But definitely tell Jessie or Mandi about it too like Neg suggested if you feel you're being harassed Topo, as outright bullying is not condoned here.

I'll always find interesting how Final Fantasy tends to arise arguments between people more than any other RPG series. (My 2 cents that no one asked for).

I was trying to talk politely though, just went a little far with shallow bishounens. So tell me toppoz, what else do you hate about kefka? the comedy?

Sorry if i was to aggressive, i just don't understand the appeal for sephiroth over other villains.Kuja is clever at least, and pretty arrogant, but sephiroth? he reads a few books and turns evil, then dies a bunch and comes back lik ganon.Mostly, its the fanbase i hate, and square enix for turning a good game into a joke to a lot of people.I'm not sure it would have its popularity if it was the first 3d FF.
