... Actually, I am here to discuss football games in general. More specifically, football management games.

Ever since I stumbled into buying a Commodore Amiga 600, I've been addicted to these management simulators. From Championship Manager 93-94, and signing Eric Cantona to play up front for my Blackburn Rovers side with Alan Shearer and winning the Premier League in their first try, to Premier Manager 3 and somehow getting Brighton from the third divison to European Championship Giants with just youth players.

And finally, the latest one I've played. Championship Manager 2000 - 2001. Taking Portsmouth into the Premier League, and then establishing them as championship winners and European giants. And getting a front three of Owen, Van Nistelrooy and Rivaldo. :)

So... Anyone else play these sort of games?

Ah yes, footy games.
Not a big fan of the sport, but still, an interesting genre.

I test-drove Champ Man 2002-2003 (I think) back in 2001 when I worked for Eidos for a wee while when the game was in beta stages, I also played ISS Evolution 2 (I think) with some of the Beta testing staff, seeing as they were a really nice bunch and it was all they ever played during lunch.
I mean, they beat the crap outta me at the game, but still, that was interesting.
And also, playing Fifa 2001 (I think) at a friends sleepover one night, for a whole night, while listening to nothing but that godly tune, 19-2000 Starchild mix.

All of which, happy, happy memories... even thought I still havn't been able to win at any of them. :D
