This set slipped by me when it came out and by the time I became aware of it, the price had soared to where it didn’t make much sense to attempt to buy a copy. Mega-Out of Print items are great to have (if you buy them when they 1st come out), but not so much to pick up on a second go-round.

The themes to the ‘toons ‘ of course are classic, but the SFX have also become a part of our collective consciousness over the last half century. This set is a ‘must have’.

The sound effects are cool, however the Answering machine messages and other newly recorded shorts are as lame as hell.

Alan Reed who voiced Fred Flintstone died about 20 years before this was released, Daws Butler (Wally Gator,Snagglepuss,Hokey Wolf,Peter Potamus, also died (1988).

Henry Corden~Fred Flinstone (Terrible Impersonation even though he voiced Fred since 1977, he passed away in 2005)

Earl Kress~Snagglepuss,Quick Draw McGraw,Peter Potamus, etc. (Equally horrible impersonations though truth be known he was mainly an animator, he passed away in September of 2011 at the age of 60.)
