What it says on the title screen. What was the first game that you played, or remembered playing?
For me, it was the classic Sinclair ZX81 and the even more classic (and probably unheard of) Airwolf. The joystick had one big red fire button, and the game was on a cassette. After five minutes of loading, I was away and I was shooting blocks and guns and crashing. It was great. Alas, at five years old, I was unable to finish it.

Riana you mean Pong, is that right?
I think the first game I ever remember playing was... Prince of Persia maybe, that got wasn't bad though. That or something on my Commodore 64, I really don't remember the games, but I know the graphics sucked.

Riana was being sarcastic..
my first gaming memory was playing FF1 for the first time when I was like 4 years old, getting my ass handed to me by Creeps and Ogres in the first battle. I remember my brother(it was his game) was at that one town near the Earth place, forget the name of it.

if we count game and watch, then it was Donkey Kong

I had never really cared about the gaming world before Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES became a huge success. Series of Mario and Luigi was created, and the Mari-o-Mania was everywhere.
Even though I found that a bit a annoying, I still decided to get my hands on a NES one way or another :)
And I've been a friggin' nerd ever since :D
I want those days back :( ...

The first game I ever played was duck hunt, then Mario. Its crazy when I look back at when I was just a kid thinking it was the greatest thing in the world, yep that brings back a lot of memories.
*sniffle sniffle* I remember duck hunt. It was a blast!! =D I also remember Mario too... I remember the games both came together. I spent many a morning toiling over Mario... :D
Damn those biter flower thingies that came out of the green tube... damn them...

Eons ago, there was a gaming system called the Odyssey. It was basically a primitive keyboard and two controllers that you plugged into your TV. I don't remember which game was the first I actually played, but I do remember it was on that system.
Just to put a timeframe on it, my best friend at that time (who lived across the street) had an Atari, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Pitfall sucked up a lot of my free time...
Well, I remember playing my old Atari with a disk drive (5x7 inch) and playing this game called Boulderdash. That was my first gaming memory. Awesome game still.

I remember playing 'Roland on the Ropes' on my Amstrad Cassete, around the age of 3 or 4. I love the Amstrad, the 'Dizzy the Egg' series ruled, wish I still had it. :(
Other than that, there was x-mas day, when I was 4. Getting my Megadrive with Sonic. I turned it on, and let it run. I didn't press any buttons for half an hour, I let the demo play after the title screen and thought I was actually playing it. Duh! :p

My first CLEAR gaming experience? Liesure Suit Larry on a computer so old the only color it had was orange. It was...odd, for a small child.

Well, my first gaming experience was for one of the Atari's... No clue with version. Anyway, it was basically one of those games where you're firing stuff from the bottom of the screen trying to knock off stuff from the top, but there were so many games like that I couldn't begin to guess which one it was. No clue how old I was either for that matter. It had to have been when I was pretty young though because I remember playing the Atari for a good amount of time before I got an NES. I must have gotten the NES around 7 because that's when I first played Dragon Warrior (Quest) 1.
But yeah... now I'm just rambling...

The first game I remember playing was Shinobi on the MegaDrive/Genesis. But I wasn't very good. I know I played some games on some older consoles before that, but I can't really remember them...
