Ah, I see where your coming from. I still consider it a different track as it's more upbeat then the original track.

But it isn't more up-beat. It's exactly the same tune... just faster, and starts at the "N64" part. There's nothing actually different at all, if you have this, you may as well have all the "final lap/section" parts.

Also, you may want to sort out the track #s.

The first number is teh number you put in the file name, the second number is the number you put in the metadata for the Track #.

Your not alone, It doesn't always activate when your in first for some reason though. I really do leik the Rainbow Road one.

It does actually... just not in 50cc. And it only activates as long as you're driving at full speed, and you are a certain distance ahead of the 2nd player.

But it isn't a Gamerip... well I always think of a game rip as being taken from the actual ROM, not just recorded directly from the 3DS.

Also, converting YouTube videos to 320 kbps MP3s is pointless, since the YTP videos are going to have lower quality than 320 kbps MP3s, if that's what has been done.

I'm not the one ripping this, and I won't have the game until Christmas. I'm sure I can continue this rip if I get a 'male to male' cable, but someone else will probably do it before then.

That might never happen due to the mass of arrangements that always have SFX in them no matter how hard you try. :P

Or it might happen if:
1. There's an official OST released
2. The ability to rip music from the ROMs is found... if it hasn't been already. I'm guessing they'll be something like 3SF files :P Get it? 2SF for DS, 3SF for 3DS?

I think this one is via Time Trials... There's actual cars in the stage, not the ones driven by characters.

Maka Wuhu doesn't have cars so I don't know why the person who ripped this didn't rip it there.

I'd like to reiterate.
There are only two versions of Rainbow Road.
The normal version that plays on the main track.
The calmer version that plays on the moon.

There is no "final section" version. Well, if you wish, it's the same as every other "final section/lap" version. It's just a sped up version of the normal theme.

So, basically, you want an extended version of the normal Rainbow road theme, sped up?

Here's one suggestion, if anyone's able to record the remaining songs, if you're going to have the "Final Section" version of Rainbow Road, you may as well also include the fast version of the planet version. Basically, go through the final check point, then go back to the planet, and the planet version will start playing fast. Also, really the "final section" is the equivalent of a final lap version, so if you have Rainbow Road's "final lap" version, you may as well have all the final lap versions, for those who "like the fast version".

I still stand by my point. They aren't different versions, and I can tell you that the final section version is NOT not the first section sped up.

I don't think that most retro tracks are ripped or recorded from Mario Kart 7... For instance the SNES Rainbow Road in 3DS, normally, sounds different than the old "real" SNES version. Its more like a remastered version. But the uploaded version here is the same old SNES version.

I didn't do any ripping you know, Ripping is impossible on the 3DS. Hackers do exist so we do know ripping will be coming sooner or later.

If you can find a miraculous way of somehow ... NOT having engine sounds, then please tell us.

Start a time trial, stay at the start of the track and don't move. Stay there untill the music has looped 2 times.

After that, finish the time trial and go watch the replay. The camera is so far away at the start, that you won't hear any engine sound. Now you can record it.

To get rid of the starting fanfare sound, just use the second loop.

yes they contain "slight" sound effects. I don't know much of how they were ripped :/
But they are audible enough to be enjoyed :)

Yeah, I checked them out and you are correct. Most tracks contain engine noises and do a fade-in from the middle of the recording (to avoid the starting line sound effects).

I wonder now that roms are being decoded if someone could get their hands on the data for the soundtrack for this game...
