Hi all,
I have several short ten second snippets of suspected VGM and anime BGM that I want to identify. I have already tried using AudioTag and a few other identification websites and had no results because the samples were too short. Which sites would you use to specifically identify music from video games and/or anime? Thanks in advance.

Trust me, I want this to be a thing as well. But with the absolute vast amount of video games, composers and tracks out there… This would take a LONG time to develop.
So as of now, there’s nothing. Best provide a sample and ask people to see if they can recognise it themselves.

Agreed!

I would recommend Soundhound, but with game tracks it’s more "Miss" than "Hit"…

Post the tracks and ask if anyone recognizes them. We’ve got quite a few people around here who have heard more vgm than the robots.

Thanks for the support guys!

Posting the first snippet here for now: click here (http://picosong.com/69Tp).
I have tried to compile bits together where it’s just the music so the editing is very crude.

This one was from a Chinese game show in the 1990s and they have also used music from one of the Super Mario soundtracks. The station that produced the show was known to use a lot of anime soundtracks and VGM as background music.
