I know why people use a VPN. I am thinking of purchasing one of those Tech Deals (https://deals.androidauthority.com/sales/vpnsecure-lifetime-3) offers on a VPN account. It is $39 for lifetime access. Does anyone use a VPN and/or recommend one? I know that it protects you when doing things like mass downloading things. There even was a service on Tech Deals that protected the user as they go about torrenting. Just a quick thought, I figured I might just ask.

Normally 39$ is for one year, this one probably sucks, though i don’t really know too much about VPN’s but i advice to avoid this one till experienced VPN users post here

Also for torrenting, you may want to join the like of a private tracker, this will allow you to avoid like copyright letter that you may get from downloading on public trackers (TPB, RARBG) from the US. I can try to help about this, send a pm if you want

Don’t know about some countries with hard rules about torrenting, like Japan and Germany (not sure about the last one), you will want to have a good VPN with KillSwitch or SOCKS5 (which is better imo because its only related to the software ur using on, from what i know)

NordVPN/HideMyAss seem good. Here is a guide on how to setup SOCKS5 on some softs https://nordvpn.com/tutorials/socks5/ (this works with the like of QBit probably)

I use VyprVPN to watch British TV on my Roku and it works very well, streaming speed is great. I was able to install the VPN client directly on my router to trick the Roku into thinking it was in the UK 😀
