Is there any clue mentioned by anyone or anything in the game itself about Tonberry King? Or do you have to find that out with a guide or something. That’s the only issue I have.

I mean, considering the experience and AP you get from Tonberries, no one’s gonna just go to Centra to level up, right? The only mild hint I can think of is the existance of its card, and the possibility of someone going to look for it.

Other than the card, I myself haven’t found any other hints either. Guess it’s just an easter egg planted by Square. Tonberry ain’t much of a GF anyway. 🙂

Well, when you’re already fighting Tonberry King, if you use scan on him it says "seems to seek revenge for all defeated Tonberry’s." That doesn’t help you in the least bit since you already know about him when it gives you a clue as to how to encounter him, but that’s about it.

What Knegative said, as well as LV up and LV down. You’re basically fucked if you go to disc 4 unprepared and don’t have the Tonberry King. NO shop is available.

In battle, however, Tonberry is worthless. But that’s because he’s not meant for that.

UH, CALL SHOP!?!?!?!?

Good point, completely forgot about that.

But isen’t there a guy called the joker on board of Ragnarok who has a shop? Vewy basic one indeed, but hey. Basically it doesn’t matter that much if you go to disc 4 without Tonberry King, as you can go get Ragnarok anyway and fly nicely to his crib and butcher his homies.

There is a girl in Trabia Garden that says she used to have Tonberry as a GF.
Plus the spot in the GF menu free, and the card ‘Tonberry King’.

But I guess there’s nothing that actually tells you where he is.
