Has anyone heard of this book? It was written by Lian Hearn. I’m still reading it though, and so far it is fantastic!

I’ll fill you in a little, I promise I won’t give anything away!

Based in ancient Japan, it’s about a young boy (I don’t see why he’s called a boy cuz he’s 16!) who unknowningly possesses supernatural powers of his tribe the ‘Hidden’. His village was attacked by an evil lord ‘Iida Sadamu’ who owns ‘Inuyama’ a black-walled fortress. The young boy’s (Takeo) life is saved by a mysterious stranger Lord Otori Shigeru. Now Takeo journeys to discover his destiny.

This is actually the first book of three. When I first read a review about it, it sort of reminded me of the game ICO.
Trust me, when you read the first chapter you’ll want to read the rest!
