They generally suck, since midi isnt the same type of file as mp3. If you know soundfonts, however, try synthfont. Other than that, they are all pretty shitty.

This may not help MUCH but http://homepage.mac.com/beryrinaldo/ddm/ Dent Du Midi is a converter, it converts midis to garageband format, so those of you who have Macs could get a kick out of EASILY remixing videogame midis.

garageband is midi based, iirc, so its not really converting anything.
