a curious thought

so, who thinks they should make a sequel to FF 7? i mean, i know theres AC and stuff, but shouldnt there be a game based on AC or maybe just a totally different plot? btw to the mods out there who may read this, i wasnt sure wether to post this here or in the FF 7 section, so if you want to move it go ahead.

I think we always had this thread in the FF7 forum. I think it may be you can still find the last one somewhere… but it’s a kind of busy place at the moment, and hehe, who cares anyway. I’m moving it there, so… fasten your seat belts… we’re moving~

But if they really want to do it, I suggest setting it like hundreds years later, with red being the only still living original character and now very old.(and maybe one of his cubs can join the team??)

I think that a FF7 sequel game would be cool…but unfortunately there is nothing left to do…after ff7 ac they will be no more plot to do.

idk…..it has to do w/ a sequel game to 7….which COULD be based on AC, but might not be. thats what this threads about. whether they should make one or not. and if they are, what it should be about. just clearing things up there.;) :coolegg:

I think they should leave unwell enough alone. All the attention FFVII is getting from Square-Enix these days makes me sick.

look, ff7 was an amazing game (actually finished it last night, ). I’m serious, that whole game just blew my mind. But giving it a sequal would ruin it, because it’s partly the wanting of the sequal that makes it so good. Sure, if they made a sequal that was just as amazing and mind blowing as the origional, then sure, I’m all for it. But lets face it, that is simply not going to happen. It’s like all those people that wish Aerith had never died (I swear, those people are like a cult). Sure, everyone while playing the game is sad when she dies, and at points wishes she would be alive. Maybe at a lot of points. But that’s the sheer brilliance of the game. If she had never died in the first place you wouldn’t have cared about her so much. But she did, so everyone misses her. It was a part of her charactor to die. And it was really important to the plot. Hell, I salute Square for letting her die, that was a part of the game that ensures you will never forget it. Besides, even if they did make a sequel, it would end up sucking probably. Like the Matrix 2 and 3. Or star wars 1 and 2. *Shudder*

It could be done, if it were done well. The problem with video game companies nowdays is that they get so caught up in all the amazing graphics and different mini-games and side quests that they end up forgetting to put in a decent story, that or they get one and ruin it. What they really need is a team of authors to write there stories. ff7 was based on one. Read the credits.

I meant the fact that they were making it, not AC itself.
