I was a huge fan of Seaquest, and I had a giant crush on Jonathan Brandis. 🙁 I am afraid to watch the show now, because I don’t want my wonderful memories of it tarnished.
I was a huge Star Trek nerd from a pretty young age, but I only really appreciated Next Generation as a youngin’. It took some time for the original series sans the movies to grow on me.
I loved Saved by the Bell and I thought that was what high school would really be like.
I’m sure there are many more, but I can’t think of them yet!
My pre and early teens I loved watching Cheese TV, which had cartoons like Dragon Ball Z, Yugioh, Pokemon, TMNT etc. Also loved The Simpsons and the likes. Thats all I can remember for now.
There were some Nick Jr. shows I really liked that I can’t remember the name of now. 🙁 Nick Jr. was really pretty different when I was a little, though!
There was alot of cartoons I watched when I was younger on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. Popye, Rugrats and even cartoon shows like Jumanji and The Wild Thornberrys. There are alot of others, I just can’t think of them right now.
Now that is a theme tune that i will never forget.
Oh, to be a kid again.
After a few years I loved watching Freakazoid, Animaniacs and Earthworm Jim. Now THOSE were cartoons!:-P
After a few years I loved watching Freakazoid, Animaniacs and Earthworm Jim. Now THOSE were cartoons!:-P
I loved Earthworm Jim. Ahh, brings back fond memories.
Groovy!
And oh man, Animaniacs! I still use it to remember my state capitals.
I also enjoy the odd episode of Batman the Animated Series. (http://teevee.gamefurnace.com/series/122/sname/Batman) It’s much better than Batman Beyond/Batman Of The Future.
I remember when i was a kid everyone at school have ninja turtles stuff. Everything from a nt tshirt to toothbrush.
Transformers, GI Joe, Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Batman TAS, Muppet Babies, Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, Pup Named Scooby Doo, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Pinky and the Brain, etc, I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head but I LOVED ME SOME CARTOONS
Oh, yeah! I loved that one, too. It was hilarious! Especially the movie.
I remember when i was a kid everyone at school have ninja turtles stuff. Everything from a nt tshirt to toothbrush.
I am old enough to have loved Ninja Turtles.
Technically, I wasn’t allowed to watch it, but I still managed to see the show and the movies plenty. We were allowed to have the toys, though? Pretty weird!
Donatello was my favorite. I’m sad to say that was probably mostly because he wore a purple band.
When we’d play turtles on the playground, all the other girls would fight over who got to be April O’Neil, so I’d always volunteer to be Irma and therefore get guaranteed a shot at playing.
And how could I forget one of my favourites, X-Men. That cartoon rocked my socks as a kid.
Jubilee :swoon: I like the X movies, but Jubes got the shaft.
And quite a few characters got the shaft 🙁

My most favorite show was Jyce and the Wheeled Warriors.
But it’s like nobody ever saw or remembered it 🙁 Maybe because it aired during the same period as Transformers or something.
youtube link (http://youtube.com/watch?v=A1c1G24GWDg)
hahahaha 😀 Oh Matt you!
I loved Saved by the Bell and I thought that was what high school would really be like.

Hmmm.
"The Mathematical Proof for Mr. T’s Infinite Pity: For life to exist there must be a symmetric equation regarding the factors of pity(p) and fools(f) -> p-f=0. If any one factor rose to a level higher than the other, life as we know it would cease to exist. The fool factor can be decisively measured by dividing jibba-jabba(j) by tolerance for said jibba-jabba(t) -> f=j/t. With these two equations we can deduce: p-f=0; f=j/t ->p-(j/t) = 0 -> p = j/t. This equation leads to quite an interesting result. As we can see, if we hold jibba-jabba constant, as tolerance for said jibba-jabba approaches 0, pity approaches infinity. Now we all well know that Mr. T “ain’t got no time for the jibba-jabba.” In fact, extensive observational studies have been conducted and even with machines able to calculate with precision to the 23rd decimal place, Mr. T’s tolerance for jibba-jabba has been conclusively found to be 0, and therefore Mr. T’s pity is the literal embodiment of the concept of infinity."
With that said, I’d say 50/50.
So drink yer milk.
Well, I recognized Snufkin, but I don’t think the series has ever aired here in Malaysia. It’s an anime, right? I keep finding sites saying it is. In any case, I liked the books tho.
Also there was this show I used to watch as a kid, but I dont remember the exact name. It was O-Video or something. I think I seen a german version intro on youtube before.
Mick, I was going to post the Daily show piece where Mr. T says it’s Jibba, but you bested me, good sir. Well played, well played.
Also, My Brother and Me, USA High, City Guys, and Dexter’s Lab were good too. Goo Punch for all!

Interests:

Nope, I’m pretty sure you still are a huge nerd
like Dexters Laboratory, Ed Edd’ and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Gummi Bears
It was an awesome show.
Good stuff. Good theme song.
It still brings back memories..
This was some other ones too but I remember those the best.

The Red Hand Gang
And if I had a day of school sick, these would cheer me up:
Rainbow (although Rod, Jane & Freddy were annoying)
Jamie And The Magic Torch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B_FQKHQDYk) (great theme tune!)
Star Trek
Digimon
BattleStar Galactica
Power Rangers
And yes, Bill Nye Rocked.

Holy fuck, if you’re talking about what I think you are, I loved that show. If we’re not on the same page here, a sheriff with a horse robot? What are you on?
My most favorite show was Jyce and the Wheeled Warriors.
I used to be into the Wheeled ones… Mask, Thundar the Barbarian, Go-Bots and Photon. Wheeled Warriors only like 4 or 5 toys available though….
Favorite shows:
Dukes of Hazzard
Battlestar Galactica
Star Trek
6Million Dollar Man
The Fall Guy
Knight Rider….
I don’t know the name of the show, it’s been been well over 10 years since I last saw it, but I remember now that the main guy was some kind of sheriff (he wore a star badge, I think) and his horse was some kind of robot that talked?
Also, it was set in an alternate reality or future? Man, I wanna remember the name so I can hunt it down.
EDIT: haha it was called Bravestarr and I loved that fucking show. I hope you were talking about the same thing, Kalmah!
I liked CD, it seems.
Robot wars was a classic tv show, in yr 5 we used to play it at school
Sailor Moon
Power Rangers
Scooby-Doo
so I really couldn’t pick a favorite show.
special mention going to California Dreams.
Some of my other favorites were Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Freakazoid, Ren & Stimpy, Doug, RoundHouse, Double Dare Gameshow, Tiny Toon Adventures (I was practically obsessed with this as a kid), Animanics, original Power Rangers, and Are You Afraid of the Dark.
Ah yes I remember Rainbow Brite :D.That was one of my favorites when I was 6 years old. I remember when they still only had video rental stores with only VHSs (video tapes were a big deal when I was a kid ;)), I would rent Rainbow Brite on tape all the time.
I also loved the Biker Mice from Mars. The character Throttle was one of my second cartoon crushes when I was 11 XD.
My favorite episode is when Ickis drinks a magic potion and produces 5 copies of himself with different personalities: Suave, Tough, Frantic, Fearless and Demented. You can’t believe my happiness when I saw that episode available for download one faithful day. I downloaded 22 episodes.
If anyone wants any, feel free to ask!

I also tuned into Hey Dude, which was aired on Nickelodeon and starred Christine Taylor, Ben Stiller’s wife.
In my teenage years, Saved By The Bell with the original Zach/Kelly/Lisa/Screech, etc. cast and My So-Called Life were my favorites. I particularly liked the college years of SBTB, too.

Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers
Batman: the animated series
The A Team (in Argentina was called Brigada A)
Airwolf
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (aguante las tortugas ninja:D)
Dragon Ball Z
Saint Seiya (in Latin America is called los Caballeros del Zodiaco. The first time it was on TV, the bastards decided to change the intro with this crap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXLyBMl6uLI. Luckly many years later they changed to the original one)
would also watch thundercats in spanish.
remember the silverhawks? Or their spanish name : los halcones gal???cticos (i don???t know why they change their name)
I’m (much) older now but still love all that shit!
You know what? It’s a good thing Hollywood don’t do a real one – they’d only mess it up – there’s a Ghost in the Shell live action in the works apparently – it makes me cringe to think on it. Aeon Flux? ‘Nuff said!!
Didn’t know that… who is Faye?
Burn Hollywood Burn!!
I’ll wait for your Avengers movie if you insist, but then I’ll BURN it!!!
She’s just magnificent as the voice for it, Rob.
That’s fucking horrible, I like Keanu, but he doesn’t have the lax, nonchalnt, linky personality that Spike does. Spike should be played by a tall skinny person with a martial art background.
Never a truer word spoken – EVER!!
Pink Panther
Land of the Lost
Ark II
Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids
The Shazam / Isis Hour
Scooby Doo Where are You?
The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour
Fantastic Four
Superfriends
Space Academy
Jason and the Star Command

Star Trek the Animated Series
Electra Woman and Dynagirl
Addams Family
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
Josie and the Pussycats
H.R. Pufnstuf
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (the cartoon circa 1972)
Sealab 2020
Johnny Quest
Bewitched
Star Blazers
Hmm… they are still some of my favorite shows. I guess I haven’t matured much.
Mona The Vampire
Anything outside of Nickelodeon/ CN’s repetoire always interested/ still does interest me.
Even today, I’m more a fan of acquisitioned efforts than I am of house-owned, due to the fact that there’s more freedom of creativity…
I could name some I like Today, but this isn’t the place, is it?
Pink Panther
George Of The Jungle
Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour(A weekly Sunday night at 5pm ritual) Warner Brothers shorts were the best of the best of vintage animation!
Tom & Jerry (Any predating 1967)
Scooby Doo
Banana Splits
Speed Buggy (A guilty Pleasure)
Get Smart(not animated-but still a great program)
Also some of the early Rankin-Bass shows "the new adventures of pinocchio" & "Tales Of The Wizard Of Oz". Didn’t say it was all good, just say it was what I grew up with.
Battle Of The Planets
Gummi Bears
Tail Spin
Transformers
GI Joe
Mighty Orbots (It was extremely well animated for TV Animation at the time-which is what attracted me to it)
Pandamonium (I liked it anyway)
Gargoyles (THE Ultimate animated series in my book)
There are many others, but that’s a short list.
I’m a week away from turning 44 and still love my animation.
and then there was the shows I got addicted to.
The first was power rangers. I used to have a crush on the chick in the yellow suit (but I think it was only because at 5 I REALLY liked the color yellow)
The only other major addiction to a show I’d ever had as a kid was pokemon, so much that I got a pokemon game and had NO idea how to play it 😛

Oh yeah lol. Sorry. Definitely a good one. As far as being my best, I don’t know. If someone asked me what my best/favorite cartoon or show was growing up, it’d be like asking which of your kids do you like most. Can’t be answered. Either that or each time I’m asked, I’d give a different answer. They were all too good to pick just 1 or even 10 for me that I liked most.
As far as being funny and action at the same time, Spiderman and TMNT fit that description perfectly. Youtube quality sucks most of the time. But better than than nothing. If you google, I’m sure you can download them somewhere. I was able to get Swat Kats, Biker Mice, Street Sharks, and others from various sites from google searching.
I had to stick with that till Spidey & TMNT were on DVD of which I now own along with Spongebob and a ton of others. Huge fan of TV on DVD. Especially older stuff. Sucks Wonder Years and Step By Step aren’t released yet! I’d love to see sets done on those shows due to the possibility of reaching out to the cast for interviews, comments, commentary, etc. I LOVE features that include cast members. It’s what drew me to buy the Batman TAS DVD set when I was in the middle of converting my old vhs tapings of the show onto DVD’s, which I’m still doing so I can get the episodes as they aired for the first time along with those old school commercials, old school qualiy, and not to mention, that old school Fox Kids logo on the bottom right corner. Sorry for going off topic here lol.

Gordian Knot. One of my favorite Outer Limits episodes starts out with the control voice (Vic Perrin) talking about the Gordian knot. "The Premonition" Also Liked "Cold Hands Warm Heart" and "Behold Eck"
I watched He-Man and Thundercats, saw the live action He-man movie with Dolph Lundgren in the theater
I did watch Star Trek The Next Generation, older Doctor Who(from Jon Pertwee and up on PBS on sundays after church) so much time as a child and teen watching science fiction
I’m sure everyone remembers the episode that had the Sonic 2 beta.
