don’t think Square will re-use ideas like Aeons and GFs for FFXII, but i’m sure they’ll come up with something new. probably with Shiva, Bahamut etc as names… and you can bet on your regular Chocobos, Moogles and Tonberries. 🙂

Just because X-2 didn’t have summons doesn’t mean future FF games won’t.
X-2 couldn’t have summons- it would have gone against the end of X.

Well, all FF’s part of the main series should have summons. I think of FFX and FFX-2 as a single FF as a whole.
It’ll be interesting to see how they’ll be implementing the summons in FFXII considering the new battle system.

you probably won’t get to control them, they’ll just show up and fight for as long as an….. oh say… time limit? since it’s real time, maybe the stronger the spell, the longer the summon stays.
Kinda like in morrowind.
