768mb of ram enough for FFXI?

I took a ‘long break’ a while back from FFXI because i was tired of my computer lagging so much. I figured it was the ram (i only had…oh, about 256mb of it ~_~) so now i’m waiting for a slab of 512mb of ram to arrive. Thing is, is 768mb of ram going to give me smooth gameplay? I’m also on DSL, so i doubt i’m going to get server lag. I would go for the whole 1gig+ but my computer will only allow one more ram upgrade. So, meh.

Ram doesnt really matter, get a good graphics card. :E

Well, i do have a G4 FX 5600 128mb graphics card. So, i’m good in that catergory.

I only have 256 mb of ram and FFXI runs fine. =\

Ive got a Radeon 9200 and 512 ram and I can run XI no probs

Ditto – at full specs.

The only time it lags is when the Windurst Auction House is overrun – which is quite often ;_;

I’ve got a 256 mb Radeon 9600XT though, so that might affect things.
