Hi, today I saw an annoucement on wikipedia about song "Need You Now" by some band called Lady Antebellum winning 5 Grammys awards including Record of the Year. Decided to check what kind of today’s mainstream "music" got so praised and was immediately suprised as I recognised that a piano introduction melody is a rip off and then a variation on Frank Klepacki’s track "Good Night" from Blade Runner videogame soundtrack. This melody gets repeated several times later in the song. Needless to say, that Klepacki’s track is much better and awarded song is usual faceless crap.

According to wikpedia the song is certificated with sales of more than 4 million times. Can we say now that Frank’s talents got some recognition in a non video games playing auditory?
Edit:
Pff, forum doesn’t seem to embed videos properly for some reason.
Here are the links then:

I admit that the two songs have a similar melody, but I don’t think that they ripped off Frank Klepacki. It’s most likely just a strange coincidence.

Yeah I’m with Terithian on this one, while I do think the blade runner song is cool, he ends the melody a tad darker. But nice ear though
