We are pleased to bring you this orchestral arrangement box set, featuring arrangements of the performances from the concert, CHRONO ORCHESTRA—Wings that Cross Time—, at Osaka in September 2019 and at Tokyo in October 2019! Supervised by composer Yasunori Mitsuda, this ambitious piece was newly recorded in a music hall environment with full orchestral arrangements.
So are these CDs live recordings, or recorded in the music hall with the same arrangements as the concerts?
From the SQUARE-ENIX website: https://store.na.square-enix-games.com/en_US/product/570577/chrono-orchestral-arrangement-box-set-cd#/shortdesc
So the arrangement box has three CDs Chrono Trigger (8 studio recordings), Chrono Cross (8 studio recordings) and a Piano duo bonus mini album (also studio recorded). They will most likely feature the same arrangements, but Mitsuda did surprise us in the past (Xenogears Concert) with concert exclusive arrangements.

The Chrono Orchestra upcoming concerts are more in line with the Nier Orchestra concerts (exact same type of 3 discs box studio release followed by a couple of concerts), which had a blu-ray release so it’s likely we’ll get one for Chrono Orchestra. Mitsuda will only be a talking guest in these.
I would compare the Xenogears 20th Anniversary concert with the upcoming Chrono Cross 20th Anniversary live tour where Mitsuda will actually play with a team of selected musicians, just like he did for the Xenogears one.
Anyways if you haven’t listen already, here are samples of every tracks: https://www.jp.square-enix.com/music/sem/page/chrono/orchestra/

Sittingonclouds is usually serious about this and they are always real FLAC, infact I’ve analyzed those 3 CDs (just because I like to analyze files) and they are real FLAC
Not a stupid question at all! I had wondered this myself about some releases, especially after the Bloodstained bullshit.
I was not aware of this controversy(?)… Care to elaborate? (I just replaced some of the FLACs I have with FLACs from Sitting on the Cloud :'( )
The Steam/GOG digital release of the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night soundtrack was badly done. A lot of tracks ended abruptly. And the FLACs were merely re-encoded MP3s. Someone uploaded a rip from his LRG release, though, and that one’s really nice.
The links are there….
While we’re on the topic of Chrono music does anyone have working download links to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross OSTs in lossless. Every link I’ve found in this awesome forum is either dead or some stupid adfly thing that wants me to click something that isn’t there.
