Batman (1989) – Danny Elfman – Board Meeting & Vicki Hides The Film (2018 Mondo)

Two never-before-released cues from the Mondo release — ‘Board Meeting’ and ‘Vicki Hides The Film’. Board Meeting is a transition cue and sounds a lot like ‘Up Building’ or ‘Men At Work’ and cues like that. ‘Vicki Hides The Film’ is a much more unique and distinct sounding cue that is super reminiscent of Elfman’s BettleJuice score and a real treat to hear! While I understand why it was dialed out in the film, maybe in order to give the audience a break from the 4:00 escape and chase and street fight cues or to allow the dialogue and banter between Batman and Vicki to be more clear — I think I would have liked to have heard/seen this cue retained in the final film cut. I cleaned up the audio slightly to remove some hiss and also to give the cues a sound that was more in line with what the LLL release sounded like. I am by no means an expert audio engineer, so it will not be up to the standards of some of the audiophiles that upload on here. I also always only upload in mp3 format at 192 kbps as a personal choice in order to respect the music labels, so I will not be uploading these in any lossless formats such as FLAC or mp3s at higher rates than 192.
