i dont have any idea what kind of quality of MP3 they are currently selling as a DLC on steam. does any body have any idea about the quality of mp3 they are selling on steam????

Still downloading game from Steam, meanwhile listening to YT upload. Part of the soundtrack sounds like Curse of Darkness, some songs remind me of Ys. Which is good 🙂

Thanks for the effort. Just purchased the DLC and all the MP3s had Artist set to "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Soundtrack" 😐

If you want me to pay for OST, at least put some effort into tagging the files…

Sounds exactly just like the gamerip from another post from this same forum (including CD Cover), without having a clearer/louder volume.. I mean, on Youtube there’s the typical "Lower volume/add FX?" method so YT wouldn’t strike a copyright.. Then when ya DL the OFFICIAL OST there’s a big difference (For example, Persona 3/5 Dancing) in volume and quality..

Unless the OST’s supposed to be like this, oh well.. Thankies!

It is literally what I dl’d from GOG upon buying the soundtrack DLC.
Game theory? They quickly converted game files themselves and slapped a price tag on it (not a big one at least) and called it ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK.

You don’t need to have a louder volume. Sometimes it’s better to have a nice and quiet soudntrack.

They just updated Twitter with this:
* Soundtrack – We are adding a FLAC version of the soundtrack to Steam and GOG. Once it is available, it will download into a separate FLAC subfolder and will not affect your .mp3 files. Backers who are to receive the soundtrack will get a digital code via your survey .

This is just shitty shit. Hope they’ll release an proper soundtrack for this! First, the game and music gets promoted like hell on kickstarter and now they aren’t able to bring up a satisfying soundtrack release. Truly incompetent.
This "soundtrack" here apparently even hasn’t all music featured from the game. Besides that, the none looping and abrupt endings of some tracks just suck. Sorry 🙁

Well, then. I thought something was fucky about this OST.

With how the soundtrack sounds at the moment (The ones they released), the best version of this game soundtrack is the Game Rip by Vector Harbor at the moment, as there are fade outs, and artists for each track labelled (Rather than just the name of the game), the only issue with the game rip version is the credits theme is missing and is the 8-bit silent howling instead, but Vector Harbor already knows this and mentioned re-uploading the OST. I can’t remember but I think some backer rewards include a physical CD so hopefully that will be done correctly and get a direct rip from the CD.

I already downloaded it and the FLAC is a fake-FLAC, they took the MP3 and reconverted to FLAC, are exactly the same files without fades, exactly the same. The tracks are all in lossy quality. The entire folder is a fake reconversion.

I removed the link to FLAC finally. Forgot to do it earlier. Also, added a note in the first post as to why. Just so people aren’t confused.

There’s no need to.

This page has the download for the backer version of the OST that has no issues (I suspect they copied this version to GOG later). I’ve downloaded this and found no issues with it that the original pieces had. They are a lot better.
