I’ve read glowing reviews all around and yet I found the characters and plot towards the end to be unbelievably unbelievable.

!!!SPOILERS!!! for everyone who hasn’t played it yet:

Amicia get’s over her first kill as Lara did in her remake, her brother suddenly hates her because she lied and runs away to further the plot. The supporting cast is a joke as well. I can get behind stereotypes and all that if the world and the story support it. Here It feels like the game is constantly shifting in mood. It wan’t me to feel for the characters but doesn’t care to explain how they survive on their own. What the hell do they eat for example and how do they manage in general. And wouldn’t that be a great opportunity to flesh out the characters more.

I for one was really frustrated with this game. Especially in the later third. I think it had great potential and kinda still does if they want to make a sequel but… man… don’t even get me started on the villains and their cartoonish aspirations, the lacklustre gameplay design and the iffy controls. All in all I thought the game was mediocre at best.
Awesome soundtrack though.
