What a classic this is! Julie Andrews is fantastic in everything…but I love her in this film because it’s not your typical Julie Andrews movie (I’ll always adore Mary Poppins).
Of course, she does a beautiful job with all the songs. My favorite being her first jazz number. All in all, an impossibly wonderful performance by all involved.
James Garner is ALWAYS great. But Robert Preston is the man who makes the film for me. I could not help but laugh and smile every time he was on screen. Dude is hysterical!
This is all only made better by the legendary Henry Mancini!
