Stephen King’s IT (1990) (Custom Original Score) (ARE) FLAC – Richard Bellis

Hey there fellow shriners, with IT Chapter 2 coming out on September 6, I would like to celebrate by presenting to you all my custom original score to Richard Bellis’ Emmy Award Winning score to the 1990 Mini Series IT, based on the hit novel by the king of horror himself Stephen King. I’ve always loved the mini series despite its flaws and Tim Curry was such a blast to see as Pennywise. My edit of the 2017 version will be coming next week, so stay tuned!

When a shape shifting demonic being from another dimension comes to Derry, a killing spree of kids starts to happen. IT’s whole purpose is to feed on humans every 27 years in order to stay alive, taking the form of many things, but IT’s most preferred form of Pennywise the dancing clown. but when a group of kids (known as The Loser’s Club) start to encounter the demonic being, they band together to finally kill IT before IT kills them and many others. However, when IT returns many years later, the Loser’s Club (now as adults) must come back to Derry to face IT once more.

The score was amazing, blending in both the dread and mystery of the story. The Intrada version was great, but I always wanted to hear the score as a single disc without some of the filler and source music (except for the End Credits). I condensed the score to only include the music for the most memorable parts of the series, while still keeping the flow of the score organic, and edit some cues together and some separately. No EQ or fancy techniques to alter the sound were used, so the sound is still the same.
