I have a FLAC version that I ripped from a video. According to the Spek, it seems to be a real lossless version but as it has not been ripped from the audio CD, I don’t know if I should share it to everyone…

As the music track from the video is not cut, I separated each track and tagged them by myself. According to the Spek, I believe it’s a true lossless version but let me know if it’s not the case.
It’s not true lossless, there is an abrupt cut off at 20Khz, which is similar to good 320k mp3.

As I said, I wasn’t sure about it because I’m not an expert in audio. But now, I know what I have to pay attention to in order to differenciate a 320k vs lossless. Thank you for the clarification Myrkul, I appreciate it 😉

To add to this, the only way to get a Lossless version would be from a losless source, usually the master file or the CD itself. I’m unsure how some of those Blu-rays with audio work though.
So any video of any kind (specially YouTube) will always be bound to be lossy, as well as any conversion from MP4, MP3, m4a, so on. Unsure on FLAC and ALAC themselves though.

The thing I disliked the most with tecmo Koei….. is the fact that they merged, and koe calls all the freaking shots regarding the music release.

So.. be japanese or not, that is not the issue….The issue here is… If I want the soundtrack, complete or not, i need to buy ALL COLLECTORS EDITIONS and maybe from consoles I dont even have to be able to have all the soundtracks, that are not even… complete releases, OR , JUST FREAKING collecting music from DOA2 , 3 and 4, and some DOA1….. which were already released in cd.
So… why not release only THE NEW MUSIC OF DOA5?
