Was it because I requested RE2 ost? I wasnt aware that was forbidden to ask till a fellow member told me. No where in the request section says anything about what we can or cannot request. I apologize but again I didnt know. I only feel bad because I wont be able to update any of my links posted.
So speaking as a moderator of this site I’m sorry to say your ban is justified.
Well I had a good run on this site.
Also, should we really point out that no requests of forbidden material are allowed, like we’re speaking to fucking brats, or even toddlers? Hey, maybe that’s what you are, Shriners? Are you going to try jumping off a cliff, simply because the likes of us don’t tell you that it’s not okay to do so?
Assuming that we’re not really okay with requests of forbidden material is not that big of a leap, logic-wise, so whatever… You’ve had an account registered for a pretty extended amount of time, enough to know. Also, given what I witness in the list of banned users, circumventing a ban by creating another account isn’t allowed, either… Say bye-bye to this one, too.

Isn’t this going a bit too far as to being personal on the guy? Hey how about a second chance or something? Just asking..
Nothing personal against the user, others before him got the same treatment.
Don’t be so rude with him please
If we followed such crappy logic we couldn’t ban anyone, pretty much. Neither the amount, nor the kind of contributions hold any relevance.
However,
Actually the site does mention RE OSTs are prohibited from being posted or even requested on this (Thread 214356) stickied thread.
Read it twice, and I can find no mention of anything about requests, or consequences of requests,
Also, should we really point out that no requests of forbidden material are allowed, like we’re speaking to fucking brats, or even toddlers?
Yes, yes you should. It is a completely reasonable assumption that if you can’t have the links, you can’t request the links. But it is also obvious that if you can’t share the links you can’t share the links privately. That is correctly mentioned on the FAQ. It’s two more words in the description.
Since the forbidden list is subject to change, for me, there is a distinction between asking for something you can’t have, and sending something you can’t provide. Personally, I think a first warning, with reason given, and a ban on the second offense might be better.
I agree that Shriners are their own worst enemy, and that systems seem to exist to be abused, but a tweak might be useful.

Additional note, I access the Shrine by checking new posts only. Consequently, I don’t believe I ever see updates of the forbidden list. Fortunately, I never make requests.
Anyhoo, it may also be useful to make a separate new post to indicate when the ban list changes, so people like me, who only check new posts, see that the list has been updated.
Totally agree
I won’t bother doing any of that, why? Because there’s another paragraph which "trumps" all of that and it should be one of the first things we read about:
http://forums.ffshrine.org/register.php
Excerpt from the forum rules:
The owners of Final Fantasy Shrine Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.
The moment we sign up (and for as long as we intend to keep using our accounts here) we agree with the fact that owners of the board, as well as those they deem qualified to act on their behalf, can do whatever they want… Without a valid reason. I’m going to stress the last part… Reserve the right to remove […] any content item for any reason.
Unfair? Probably, but forums ain’t democracies and given we have accounts here, we are supposed to have read that bit.
Also, experience showed me that most of the Shriners either don’t bother to read, or conveniently play dumb, there would be no use in making clarifications. Go complain to the admins about me, if you want, but I quite frankly don’t give a damn about the easiness with which I hand out bans, fuck, banned users can effectively come back with another account within minutes from the ban… TC here is just one of the most recent examples.
Pro Tip: If you’re going to come back from being banned with a new account don’t tell anybody that you’ve done. Especially don’t do it twice.

I’ll take your word for it. I can’t actually read this link without signing out.

I don’t disagree with the Powers That Be having the right to do anything they want for any reasons they want. I’ve been around in organized fandom long enough (Forty years? Where does the time go?) to know that fandom and democracy don’t mix. The most effective, longest lasting, and least headache inducing fan organizations I’ve ever been around were all velvet-gloved dictatorships. And it has been demonstrated repeatedly that members on the Shrine WILL take a mile if given an inch. I look at the tweak as less a challenge to authority or a call for accountability and more as an administrative laxative: it helps to keep the shit from building up.
