Salvatore, a successful film director, returns to his hometown to attend the funeral of his old friend Alfredo, who was the projectionist of the local cinema during his childhood in Sicily. Soon the memories of his first love with the beautiful Elena and all the chapters that marked his happy childhood come back to his mind, connecting Salvatore with the community he left 30 years ago. The little "Tot�" did not separate from Alfredo’s side, who secretly collected all the discards that the priest -the definitive censor- cut out from the projected films. As if it were a treasure, Salvatore remembers all the caresses and forbidden kisses kept in an old box.
