Hi little soundtrack lovers, while I am working on some other projects that I feel strongly about, I would like to share with you this "deluxe" edition of The Last Airbender soundtrack composed by James Newton Howard. :p

I think it’s a pretty great score ; I was quite surprised that there is not so many edition of it. 😉

What’s “deluxe” about it? Details please.

Does it have real choir?

As far as I have seen the complete score with real choir was never made available in lossless.

There was, however, a complete score leak in lossless that had the same synth choir as there was on the commercial album.

It’s the complete score of the soundtrack edited and remastered from the recording sessions.

About the "remastered" part, I can give you some details but usually, I don’t like to describe in high precision what have I done exactly :
– I used EQ curves to make a clean specter on all tracks.
– I removed some clicks on most of tracks (mostly "Aang’s Ballet Fight").

About the "edited" part, I just combined some cues together to make it in one track (e.g : "On The Dock & Northern Water Tribe" is a composite of "4m1Av1 Dock" and "4m2 Northern Water Tribe").

I don’t see exactly what do you mean by "real choir", but as far as I hear, the sound is identical to what we hear in the movie…
I guess I have the true recordings leaked in lossless…

For this one, I combined them according to the film version. I think they sound good enough that way.

(…but usually, I admit to prefer to combine them where they sound best to my liking, respecting the tempo for example).

Listening to it, now – Wow, great score!

I love the film and have watched it four times – Never understood the negative reviews it got from the critics.

My only disappointment is that they didn’t make the other two stories (Books) while Noah Ringer was a child – If anyone did pick it up now, it wouldn’t be the same…

Yeah, it was my disappointment too�
I have heard that we may have a possible remake for Netflix. However, I would love to see a complete live-action adaptation of The Last Airbender ! 🙂
