Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries – Original Soundtrack
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (Music from the TV Series)
Murder Mysteries with Miss Fisher: Roarin’ 20’s Jazz Music Inspired by the TV Series
When you say ‘unpopular’ I presume you mean ‘more unknown’. Which makes more sense, as being an Australian production. As for quality, it is great: funny and dramatic without exaggeration. The 1920s’ ambience is spot on, right up to the music (source and original). According to IMDB, they are in the post-production phase of the latest title: ‘Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears’.
I’m still watching the first season, but loving every single episode, the characters and respective actors. And looking in IMDB, I was surprised to find that I already knew Essie Davies. She was a secondary character from the two last Matrix films that caught my eye: Maggie, the nurse with short white hair (and then is killed). And among other known film and game titles, she was a character from the ‘Game of Thrones’ series: Lady Crane, of a theater troupe, I think (never saw an episode). And then, again, is killed.
But back to Miss Fisher’s music: In the series, I think it’s perfect for bringing an old mood of those between-great-wars days into your mind, if you like that bygone era. I can’t buy music these days, so would like to try the soundtracks (mp3s, of course) and see if I should put them on my enormous mental wish list. ‘Mental’ being the key word here. ^_^
