Hi,
I have transcribed and digitally restored this 1975 LP release of 24 of Disney’s greatest hits from various movies using my hi-end vinyl system and Sound Forge Pro 11 with IzoTope plug-ins.

The resultant file is in 96/24 FLAC format (with scans), and is over 1Gb in size.

I spent many years working in the hi-end audio industry; I have a very high-quality turntable system, plus an Asus Xonar audiophile soundcard to do the capturing of audio, so I archive all my vinyl at 96/24. Might look into the feasibility of capturing to DSD in the future, but costs are too high just yet.
As vinyl is much higher resolution than any digital storage medium, it would be a shame not to get (almost) the best I can out of the LP’s. My blood runs cold when I see people capturing LP’s to mp3 using �40 USB record players – it just doesn’t bear thinking about!
