Kingdom Hearts 3 Soundtrack / Game rip

So with news of the leak, anyone have any word on the soundtrack for the game? It sounds like Shimomura and Ishimoto are working on it so far and I’m really interested in hearing the orchestrated music.

Seriously, i know that we post smash ultimate 2 weeks earlier but one months early is not a good idea.

I’ll admit that i would love to get my hands on it but square enix wouldn’t appreciate that plus they make the ps4 decryption methods for getting the music harder this time. That’s why we haven’t got anything about the spyro trilogy yet.

I wonder if anyone has ripped the soundtrack yet now that the game has been released.

Still no rip in sight, and the tracks on youtube are just the same 7-ish tracks circulating on the internet. Oh well, we’ll have it sooner or later.

So as I am playing the japanese version I happened to record this song from Monsteropolis… now that I see there’s no gamerip yet(and who knows when) Should I start to record music whenever possible? I’m currently still at Monsters Inc. I’ve beaten Toy Story, Tangled, Twilight Town, Olympus. I could do so and post progress in this thread as I do it and once I’ll get what’s possible I could make a thread in the download section with everything. However I’m not in the mood to (at the moment) to make return visits to worlds i’ve beaten. But who knows, maybe in the mean time someone manages to rip proper. Oh yeah, this aren’t really lossless, taken from my video recordings from a capture card. I will be exporting them from audacity in .wavs to not degrate the quality further.

Oh, OH. Many thanks! Honestly I’m quite surprised the soundtrack for this game isn’t circulating faster considering how long it’s been hyped. Anyway, I’ll gladly take a partial rip and even individual tracks at this point, so please do your thing if you can. No need to be extra, just anything it good.

I’d certainly appreciate it, YouTube’s been slow to upload (and as DeusAxeMachina pointed out, it’s the same 7 songs) and AFAIK an official release hasn’t been announced yet.

Good stuff. I especially like the percussion on the monsters inc battle theme. Overall the quality of this soundtrack seems to be staggeringly good.

Fun is right. I think this is also used for the Tangled Dancing minigame but I could be wrong.

You are a God, that theme is apprehension which is played in KH II. But it was remixed for KHUX I was dying to find that track. I love you. That track was my favourite remix from old tracks.

I think it sounds similar (or it’s the same) as the Titans boss battle from Hercules’ world.

Do you think you could do the music that plays for the Battle Portal in Twilight Town?

Ohh I see I missed a bunch of good stuff. The new Desire For All That is Lost remix is pretty amazing. Also I’m pretty sure that’s the Caribbean standard battle theme. In any case it’s not the same as the titan boss theme.

It might be just me but I really, really dislike everything that Takeharu Ishimoto has contributed to Kingdom Hearts. Seems to be the case here as well. It’s so…incredibly bland and uninspired and unfitting for the series. His Vanitas theme is probably the best contribution but everything else feels so out of place for the series.

Yoko’s music is once again fantastic as usual. On a side note, not sure why she wasn’t helmed to compose the final boss theme. I’m rather disappointed about that. Like, very disappointed.

He’s made some average sounding stuff save a few wonderful songs like "Price of Freedom" or the orchestral themes from type – 0 and Cantata Mortis. Aside from those, I can’t think of anything paticularly memorable. I wonder what the reason was for having him handle some of the music. [especially handing such climactic themes like the final boss theme for a 12 year saga. Underwhelming 🙁 ]

I agree that most soundtracks aren’t worth listening to. Many of them sound very bland and even generic but what makes you think the game is dying now? My favorite soundtracks are Terranort and Vanitas, Keyblade Graveyard, and PoTC BGM 9 – Davy Jones. Generic music has been 1/3 of every KH games. If you are judging by this gamerip, you are wrong. There are some music that aren’t in this rip yet.

I’ve been playing and checking out rips on youtube. Game hasn’t been dying though I suppose that’s subjective opinion.
Personally, some of the new themes such as the aforementioned Darkness trio battle, Sea Salt Trio, Terranort and Vanitas duo battle, plus some of the new music such as the Tangled and Frozen world’s music being simply gorgeous. Plus the new Olympus themes are fantastic [and the reorchestrated versions of the original Olympus themes are stellar].

Once again, all Shimomura’s stuff.

Her music is the heart and soul of the entire series and I am simply trying to express that I really feel like Ishimoto’s contributions really detract from the experience. The series isn’t going downhill, it just deserves much better than this.

I’ve always had the impression that a lot of the good stuff from Dissidia and Type-0 is largely thanks to Kentaro Sato on arrangement duties rather than Ishimoto. Most of my favourite tracks from both soundtracks have Sato involved, and those without him pale in comparison.

The wait is so painful. I wish I knew how to rip PS4 audio. I’ve done gamerips in the past, like Wii and PS2 games, but PS4 Encryption is a whole new beast.

Because they butcher all the fantastic instruments and sounds that made the originals much beloved. Electric guitar and rock? Yeah sounds pumping but it really get stale within a few minutes of listen.

And the people were looking forward to just the remixes only. They do not care about the new tracks at all.
