Yeah, I’m curious to hear the couple of new cues that are on this. I wonder if LLL is planning on a 30th anniv. re-release this next year and may include the unused stuff we have never heard like this set has.

The sound quality is better for sure – but that’s due to the Vinyl. This release is made from the same sources as on LaLaLand’s "Elfman Collection" release. The only differences are:

– :55 seconds of unreleased material ("Board Meeting" and "Vicki Hides The Film"). Nothing groundbreaking here, but nice to have.

– "Batwing II" and "Batwing III" have been separated on this release. Truthfully, I prefer them joined, but again – it’s nice to have options.

– Some track titles have been updated to be more accurate to their original cue names.

– The bonus material from the LLL release(s) is not present here. That includes source cues, alternates, and the original album versions.

To answer the obvious question, yes I was lucky enough to get the 2-LP set. I don’t have the capabilities to digitize it, otherwise I’d be happy to post it! But fear not – it’s nothing earth-shattering and I am more than confident that the new 55 seconds will appear on the next release of this score… stay tuned.

That would be amazing if you can – my favourite score of all time.

Two never-before-released cues from the Mondo release — ‘Board Meeting’ and ‘Vicki Hides The Film’. Board Meeting is a transition cue and sounds a lot like ‘Up Building’ or ‘Men At Work’ and cues like that. ‘Vicki Hides The Film’ is a much more unique and distinct sounding cue that is super reminiscent of Elfman’s BettleJuice score and a real treat to hear! While I understand why it was dialed out in the film, maybe in order to give the audience a break from the 4:00 escape and chase and street fight cues or to allow the dialogue and banter between Batman and Vicki to be more clear — I think it would have liked to have heard/seen this cue retained in the final film cut. Enjoy!

I cleaned up the audio slightly to remove some hiss and also to give the cues a sound that was more in line with what the LLL release sounded like. I am by no means an expert audio engineer, so it will not be up to the standards of some of the audiophiles that upload on here. I also always only upload in mp3 format at 192 kbps as a personal choice in order to respect the music labels, so I will not be uploading these in any lossless formats such as FLAC or mp3s at higher rates than 192.
