My brothers, praise the music gods, as we have been blessed with the talents of Python Blue. A synthwave and general music enthusiast that happened to get all the files from the old synthesizer machines, the one and only Brad Fiedel used for his timeless masterpiece of a score.
Python Blue recreated a huge chunk of tracks from this masterpiece, I approached him about doing a full re-creation, wrote back and forth with him and he wanted to be kept out of this, but he didnt mind downloading and combining it with the existing music.
And those of you that know me know that I pop up every once in a while and deliver something and here…I took Ruiz Burgos amazing alternate posters for T2 and remade it into cover and disc graphics.
So…why no link, once you scrolled down and did see my graphics?
Because it is currently not yet totally complete
Currently, on the 2 discs, there are stand in versions for "The War Against The Machines" and Tanker Chase, but Python Blue will remake both, but his scheduling may take him a while. But until then…there are plenty of tunes we NEVER heard clean.
What you see here is my V2 approach, the V1 will appease more "classic" fans and its a WIP, but will be included in the full compressed file once its all complete:

Meaning?
Meaning this:
I dont know you or know any of the things youve posted. Ive never seen you before. But everyone here who knows me knows that this is my holy grail. And every time someone posts a complete version, its either awful DVD rips or even worse fan-made compilations. Ive come to terms that this score is lost, gone forever. That being said, what is this? A re-creation? Because thats the closest well ever get to a complete. Now then, Im sure you can understand how skeptical I am / how much Im in denial at this.

I understand and if you think this is YOUR holy grail?! I got a huge chunk of Hot Toys Terminators, so…if this is your grail, then you are in for a treat, buddy.
Yes, a good amount are recreations, I didnt make it as clear in the main post, I just edited it.
What I wrote there is the real deal. 2 tracks are stand-ins. "Tanker Chase" is the none complete version and "War against the machines" is a hybrid of "Escape…" and "Trust me". Of course the real version needs to be without the steel drum, but otherwise its clean and on position.
This is no, I repeat NO ripped version. There are ZERO FX in there and in the credits you see which tracks ar recreated.
With this I just say: Download and enjoy. Please.
Then you approach things you look forward to the same way I do. I REALLY hope you enjoy. 🙂

This being such an iconic score, all I have to say is thanks for uploading! I’m not an expert on the music as much as some people but this sounds extremely close to Brad Fiedel’s sound palette. Would be interested to hear from someone knowledgeable as to how it stacks up to the film versions.
On point is how it stacks up, Rigby.
Python Blue made sure to nail the pieces.
Python Blue made sure to nail the pieces.
So were all of the synth files that PB used the originals that Brad Fiedel used?
You can check that on his youtube, I believe he linked them in the description.
Right off the bat I can say the first 3 cues are taken from the OST. Well, sorta. The main title was on the OST. Rush Hour In Hell and The War Against the Machines are not, but most people have had them for years – myself included. Theyre decent fan edits. TWAtM is a hodgepodge of Escape from the Hospital (and T1000), Trust Me and Its Over / Goodbye – which itself is the OST version. I went straight to that one first, its my favorite cue.
Not quite. "Rush Hour" was never on a soundtrack and this is a new version from Python Blue. Check his youtube, but you said it yourself: Many had them for years.
TWATM is exactly that and I said that from the get go: Stand in. And if you wouldve checked the credits you wouldve seen which ones are the originals by Fiedel that I took from the OST and put in here. 🙂
How did you make these incredible looking CD design, I wish I could make my designs look so real as those.
Posters by Ruiz Burgos and edited them in Photoshop to fit my needs. Thanks, man. 🙂
Which tracks are definitely missing from the OST/Bootlegs?
Currently still a new/clean version of "The War Against The Machines", without the steeldrum and "Tanker Chase", which is missing the first part, directly when the T-1000 smashes through the rest of the chopper with the tanker.

If you put it like this…then those are missing, yeah.
What do you mean “put it like that”? Those are 1000% missing from the OST.

You are most welcome.

Nah, man. Chill 😀 Of course. I meant in comparison to his question. Cause he put bootleg in the question. Your answer was accurate.

edit: now it’s working
I was going to say something similar, but then I viewed them at full size…..
Give us something that’ll blow our socks off, Oh Mighty One 😀
Perhaps you shouldn’t even listen to it then with that attitude. May as well delete it. And it’s not all 128. Get over it.
I was just figuring out the same thing 🙂
Canal Chase is part of Galeria Suite.
This is put together exceptionally well. Haven’t heard of Python Blue until now, but the dude has mad skills. If I wasn’t told this was someone else I’d swear it was Fiedel.
Two Thumbs up from molten lead!
If possible, I think in future it would be best to export to a format like FLAC or ALAC. Not trying to be rude or ungrateful but it’s best to preserve what we have whenever we can.
Thanks again for the share!
Then get to work! 😛

I echo this sentiment. While these recreated cues are a dream, at some point, it would be ideal to have the lossless preservation of Python Blue’s and Raenius’ excellent work
The packed quality is better and I printed it out for myself. There is NOTHING to be desired, I can asure you.

Thanks, buddy.
Thanks man! Listening now and it sounds great so far. I look forward to when we can get a recreation of the remaining cues.

I wouldve loved to, but I dont have access to his files, like I said in the main post: I asked him to do it together, he opted for being non-associated in it. So I had to rip the music from youtube with the highest quality possible. Happy you enjoyed either way though, of course. Thank you 🙂
I’ve been meaning to put together The War Against the Machines for the longest time, don’t know why I still haven’t done it. Also the film versions of Main Title and my favorite cue, "It’s Over" ("Goodbye").
Wouzld love to hear what youd do and then add it to this score. 😉

All else: Happy you enjoy. I wanted to do this for so long and I always wanted to share if it was possible.
Happy also that I was able to give it to you and that the quality suffices. 🙂
Also thank you for all the Rep points. Appreciate it. 🙂

And since a few people have doubted the quality: Grainy **** doesnt enter my shelf. >The ONLY picture that could be improved, is the endoskeleton inlay, but otherwise, everything is crisp.
Also: I went one step further and made a Cyberdyne Edition myself, with a proper presentation.

Well, he did a few bits on his channel too. One can always hope. 🙂
I used a 320kb/s ripper from the internet, which is why the audio is that good, even though it is a rip. Thats all to it. Further fade ins and outs are done with Audacity.
On further tunes: He will do a proper "Tanker Chase" and "The War Against The Machines".
Thank you. 🙂
lol yeah… someday

Well, the perfectionist in me disagrees. I saw a number of things that indicate sloppy editing:
The font looks weird, like it’s been horizontally compressed
Varse is missing its grave accent and the kerning is really bad. It’s reading like "V ARESE", probably because you’ve used a cheap fanmade font. These kerning errors can be spotted all over the artworks.
https://i.imgur.com/q4X0oRd.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/1N1UoTO.jpg
Look at that! You can assure me anything you want, but this looks horrible.
https://i.imgur.com/K5pJd46.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/jW0y4Ls.jpg
Fuzzy edges…
Blurry, wrong year (it should state 2018). You should redo detail infos like that.
Again, cheap font. Also, the legibility is pretty hard to read, with the whole tracklist rolled into one paragraph like that. How about some variation like different colours, weight, spacing?
Disc 1 is missing a blank space there.
See what I mean? If you strive for greatness, then go all the way. Because quality knows no compromise. The photos of the full set look great, but the devil lies in the details.

Its a font I downloaded, so yeah. Theres that. I will try to recitify all you pointed out, cause you are right, but still: Chill out. Not everybody has the same experience you may have and also the same tools.
You started at one point too, did you?!
Like I said: You are right with the mistakes…except ONE:
You can hardly call me (Photography Tim Kay, as this is what I do and I put this work under it, cause I made it) as a mistake.
Point made?!
But this IS a very good set, very much enjoyed listening to it so far.
But this IS a very good set, very much enjoyed listening to it so far.
It was a youtube ripper with 320kb/s ripping capability, I found.
I can do a clean 128k AAC rip.
I’ve tinkered with youtube-dl a bit and found out two out of three suite clips originally are MKVs with OPUS audio and third is MP4 with AAC, all around 128 kbps. Did not check trailer/teaser clips.
If you wanna tool to cut mp3 you downloaded w/o further re-encoding try Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner. It’s crude and takes little time to get used to but works fine.
Read the main post and you know where its coming from.

I know that font, it’s bad. But there’s a better looking one out there and I’ve uploaded it here for you:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r98708flwgbaagw/Terminator%20Real%20NFI.ttf?dl=0
Who am I, critizicing and not helping… so feel free to ask me anything whenever you need help. I appreciate your willingness to tackle those nitpickings of mine. And I didn’t know that YOU are Tim Kay, in that case it’s just the wording ("Photography") that is misleading.
As for Python Blue’s work? Sterling. I’m a Fairlight guy myself – without going into detail – and he used precisely the correct libraries and techniques, at least as near as you can get without a real Series III in front of you (Brad used two, one for percussion, one for everything else). Fortunately for us all, the majority of the samples were factory libraries, so able to be recreated. I have the same libraries myself.
Thank you to original poster for putting it together, thanks to PB for the hard work, and grow up to those who nitpick at things like a goddamn font. (Jesus!)
PS – as a film composer myself, believe it or not, we actually like it when people are that keen on getting the larger works out there where certain restrictions mean the all the cues aren’t on the album – or worse, no album exists. The only time it’s a drag is when the complete album is out there, available easily, and it’s a small production and/or label. This is an example of giving people who most likely would have paid $$$ for a complete score something to tide them over. My understanding is that BF isn’t remotely interested in working towards pushing for a complete release, and that’s probably that for the moment. VS as a label being notorious for issuing short versions of scores regardless of whether or not there’s orchestral re-use cost issues…

Awesome, I will happily check that font later and apply it to my work, thank you.
Yeah, misleading…I give you that. But Im a toy photographer, with FB, IG and YT pages and do a lot with photoshop, which is why Ive written that under that "label/brand, you know?!

Thats what I hear about VS too and BF supposedly has it all, but as far as I know hes cotranctually obligated to NOT release it. Pity.
For the rest: Heidl is right with many points, but I also pointed out things. Hes an experienced guy and needs to chill, but were working on it.

Much obliged.

Well, if you as a composer don’t care about design, that’s your call. But I as a designer do.
And I think the artwork is just as important as the music, especially for ambitious projects like this one.
Currently cant. At work. Please re-try. Otherwise I will re-upload later.
Some thing tells me you don’t really know jack about audio.
Someone mentioned they can do a clean AAC rip.
"Ripping" at 320 isn’t a real thing. It’s a transcoding thing.
So the uploader originally uploaded lossy audio to youtube, youtube-dl should list the options you can download.
Don’t use the GUI, they’re all shit with options that mean nothing.
The CLI is better with proper feedback for the links. You can do it without transcoding.
And if you imported and did extra editing in Audacity, that only means you’re doing yet another lossy transcode.
That’s generations upon generations of lossy compression.
320 is not "that good".
It’s subjectively equal to VBR-0.
AAC is "that good". Which is probably what the original audio is on youtube, besides a different set available in Opus or OGG.
What a waste of good potential.
If you wanna tool to cut mp3 you downloaded w/o further re-encoding try Visual MP3 Splitter & Joiner. It’s crude and takes little time to get used to but works fine.
That’s ok, Plissken, I was just curious. I have Audition and Audacity myself, but I don’t intend to do any editing myself 😉 The score representation is fine as it is 🙂

It’s not "the real deal" in the sense that this isn’t the OG done by Brad Fiedel. It’s real enough in that the guy that made it used the exact same equipment, the same samples and recreated parts of the score.
He posted three suites on his youtube page, and the OP edited those cues into the full tracklist you see on page 1. It’s very well done and is a great listen. If you don’t want to, then don’t post? 😉

Interesting, you bash my work, but its still a good job?! Thats confusing and why the "bad" quality (damn, some audio-afficionados here):
Read the opening post.
For everybody else:
I now told this already a dozen times:
WHY NO FLAC ETC.?!
BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE FILES!!!
Nobody cared to rip this, compile this and make a cover set, I DID.
So if youre done bashing my work, dont read the opening post and STILL intend to complain, you got 2 choices:
No.1: Accept the fact THIS is here and it wont get better and be happy
No.2: You got better knowledge, the connections and can do it better:
GO AHEAD.
Have I made myself clear?
Fine. Good day.

So the I just wanted to say I really appreciate this I was a teenager when this film came out and worked at a Theatre too and got to see it on the big screen over and over and over!
It was so awesome I even went as far as saving my money and buying a real biker leather jacket LOL. Yes 6.4 skinny black dude walking around thinking he was the TERMINATOR!
LOL great teenage times. Always wanted to hear the score like it is in the film, I didn’t understand till like 5 years ago about how a film composer writes and conducts the music for a film, but afterwards the director, editor cut and paste and alter or not use the music presented. The OST is a basic representation of the main cues so that the listening experience flows.
Folks need to realize and stop complaining when some one trys to share something. Film music was never meant to stand alone it was made for films, we just Love it some much.
So again thanks don’t let the complainers get you down!

Youre welcome. Happy you like it and: I wont. Thanks, brother. 🙂
Its not the problem about how the music is, that starts to aggrevate me. Its the point that its free, I used my free time to do it and shared it, explained it in the main post, yet questions about a format start coming it, that simply is NOT feasible as those were not my files.
I just did my best to complile this into one good looking and as best as possible unit to present and I believe I succeeded, for the most part.
A few corrections on the cover set itself, with the help of Heindl, but otherwise, only 2 songs missing and were set.
I think that says it all. 🙂
Thanks again.
The fact that we now got a complete version of this score (even if it is mostly recreations) is all I could ask for. So again, Thank You so much for all the hard work! 🙂

Happy you like it. Youre welcome. 🙂
Its amazing how true this is to the film.
There’s just one instrument that seems hard to imitate (that ticking noise around 2:30 in Galeria Suite), but you hardly notice and I cant complain.
If you truly do have it, it would be nice if you posted them.

The BIGGEST thing to give thx is that it is 100% SFX Frees!
thank you share!
Im thinking of redoing my edit. May I use some material from this? What are some differences between this and mine? No not being snarky, not at all! Just wanted to know how it is improved over my edit.
Yours has sfx and bad edits imo. Just stating the obvious, no offense meant.

I dont know how possible this is, as PB used the digitalized files from the machines Brad Fiedel used and I didnt hear a difference…but who knows.
I think what you’ve shared is truly amazing after having a listen. Not to sound whiny or complain, but more as a question, because I, as well as others really do appreciate this. Why do several tracks, that have been done by Python Blue, have ends that just cut off? If he redid the cues himself, shouldn’t they have normal endings? That was just something I noticed and was curious about. Please don’t take it as complaining or anything. I was just wondering?
He posted those as suits, which needed cutting. That is why. I tried my best to fade them out smoothly.
Props for the upload dude. Some stuff on there I’ve never heard before.
Thank you and your most welcome. 🙂
Why can’t you guys just be happy with this!? It sounds great! sure it’s missing a few pieces, sure its not FLAC, but hell, Raenius did us all a huge favor by not only posting this but editing and putting it in order for us. It takes a great amount of time to do this (trust me I know) I downloaded Python Blue myself and it was a pain to edit and rearrange those tracks, glad someone was able to do this for me 🙂
Your welcome. 🙂

Uhm, sure. Fire away. Dunno the differences though. Dont know your edit.

NEW LINK IN MAIN POST WHICH CORRECTED FEW MISTAKES POINTED OUT BY HEINDL.
Hope you enjoy. 🙂
Any updated version of this (newer tracks/higher bitrate/lossless) and I am there. Thanks for your efforts @Raenius
May just be a result of using youtube as a source, lol.
*Unless some of our tech and editing gurus can dl at better quality and edit themselves. Which would be cool.
OK. That makes sense. Thanks.

I’d like to see what Python Blue could do with the score to True Lies as well.
Hell yes! Love that score.

The sound work is truly excellent. Naturally, the audio quality could be higher… really only if Brad Fiedel released the masters.
No jokes, this is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to complete the set with the last two tracks. The "Galleria Suite" is impressive. I loved the absolutely clean version of "Rush Hour In Hell" (the cover says "into", which is wrong, I’m afraid)-
Great, thank you for sharing!
I’m sort of thinking out loud but it has me wondering; there were versions of the ‘Bladerunner’ and ‘The Thing’ scores that were recreated from scratch by independent artists then released on legitimate labels. There have also been ‘re-recordings’ of T2 cues already released on compilation albums by Silva Screen records.
Surely if we rally enough support for PB, the same could happen here? I mean, whoever the licence holder is atm might actually be keen considering the original masters have gone AWOL. Maybe a bit far fetched but I’d love to see a fully completed, lossless album presentation of this and perhaps some sort of reward for all PB’s hard work.
Don’t know about Bladerunner but The THING was re-recorded by Alan Howarth & Larry Hopkins I got that autographed from the composer, but some one also posted the actually OST + The Film Score to the THING with 2 songs from the film and radio spot trailer!
Nice one. 🙂
I have to say this is bloody marvelous. After years of waiting, this is close enough to that ultimate holy grail complete score to please my T2 obsession… Atleast for now.

Be sure Ill update the songs then.^^ Your welcome. 🙂
As most of you should be aware, Brad Fiedel has said that the original music is lost. He wishes like everyone else that it could be released, and is always pleased and amazed at fans reactions to his work. This set absolutely amazes me, that anyone could go and REPLAY every cue as heard in the film. I’d swear Brad himself was doing this, if I didn’t know better. I’d like to see what Python Blue could do with the score to True Lies as well.
Truth.
Well, the op has clearly described what this is, how it was created and the quality shared. If you don’t care for it then just move along. It is the absolute best you’re going to get unless Python Blue produces split tracks*, and it is the closet we’ll get to the real deal until or if the original sessions surface.
*Unless some of our tech and editing gurus can dl at better quality and edit themselves. Which would be cool.
This 😀
And: Id update my songs, be sure of it…
OK. That makes sense. Thanks.

Congratulations to Python Blue for the work involved, and I’m saying this without even having listened to the score. I’m off to it now!

Thx for pointing out, next revision will then be the version with V1 cover set. Glad you enjoy. 🙂
EDIT: I intentionally named it like this, cause to me that Rush Hour LEADS into hell, cause once the flash is over…the rush hour looks pretty dead to me.

Hear Hear. Nice thoughts, man.
well I listened to it today while at work and I think its FANTASTIC! this dude did some awesome recreated stuff, I really enjoyed the Galleria Suite and could not believe it when I heard The Tire track when T-1000 walks out of the fire! WOW always liked that little piece, and some body said there tracks missing for the Definitive edition of The TERMINATOR, I listened to that today as well and they were right never even noticed!

Yeah, all the bits I never heard clear had me mark the **** out. Galleria Suite is my fav.
Oh, man! This is also a holy grail of mine! I can’t wait to hear what you’ve done with it! Thank you!
I didnt do anything to the tracks. I ONLY did the cover set.
Musical praise for the missing bits goes ALONE and ALONE ONLY to Python Blue.

The owner of that site has at least one sockpuppet account here and is able to see/access anything openly posted. He is actually quite notorious for doing so. Basically it was only a matter of time.
There was a re-recording of the Blade Runner score by Edgar Rothermich to celebrate the films 30th anniversary. It’s still not the complete OST unfortunately.
Thats not the point. I shared it here, of course its grabbed. Thats the intention. Asking before its posted elsewhere would be nice. Thats the principle and how I roll.

And how would a new user such as yourself know all of this? 🙂
On the other hand: Why wouldnt he?
…..Brad Fiedel has said that the original music is lost.
Some things go missing indefinitely though, right? While it could surface, it’s been 27 years and I’d rather have re-recorded material like the above than hold my breath forever.
Gave you some positive rep and rated the thread 5 stars. Figure it’s the very least one can do on here.
Apparently they were found by the time of the remastered release and the company wanted to do an expanded release but Fiedel turned them down.
I would absolutely love to hear your edits please 😀

edit: or get the latest release from Github (https://github.com/mifi/lossless-cut/releases?after=v1.2.1)
As he explained, he cannot put up ;ossless at this time. Python Blue has not made the source files available so the YouTube rip is all that is available.
I encourage you to post it in the forum please :-)))

+1 There’s not a lot of lossless processing for lossy codecs, but they’re worth looking for to avoid lossy transcoding.
Editing and converting so many times in lossy (even if you use lossless intermediates), is just as bad as re-compressing a JPEG (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEzhxP-pdos).

Hopefully Python Blue will do a full recreation
I am looking forward to having the art too.
It’s possible. I remember him saying in an interview once that everything that needed releasing was on the 1991 album. So he’s unlikely to be supportive of an expanded release. Fingers crossed for LLL/Intrada getting the rights.

I had actually done my own edit and was going to release it here as well. Mainly the only differences in my was that I ripped the main titles from the bluray so its the correct mix and included the end credits mix of the theme as well as the 3 tracks from the Terminator 2 3D show that have surfaced. Ill have to give your edit a listen.
I’d be keen to give this a listen also! 🙂
Yes please.
I made the slipcase, yes. Cardboard and self-adhesive foil was used for it. Shipping it would be possible, but probably dangerous. 😉
Hey Raenius, for your eventual future re-do’s of this release, you might consider LosslessCut (https://sanet.ws/blogs/islamayman/losslesscut_portable.2710545.html), another nice tool for cutting/trimming of audio/video files without re-encoding. I’ve just discovered it and it’s much better than one I’ve mentioned previously.

If I ever get the actual files, I would. Thing is that I dont get the FLAC love over here. My phone always converts all FLAC & M4A files (dont kill me if I said something wrong here), so I have no use for that either way. But on the next revision, if Id get them…yeah. And I totally will add that program to my stuff. Much appreciated.
Would love LOSSLESS for the next edition. TYVM!
Please see above. Otherwise: Thank you too. 🙂

This.
Great Stuff, finally a SFX free complete!! Question, are all of the synth elements used from the library film mix accurate? I notice some differences (mainly percussion). I don’t know how accurate the libraries are, but if they are exact copies of what BF used, there are definitely differences. Nonetheless, for a recreation this is awesome work and I’m happy with the results. Thanks for sharing!
He did the digitized files from the synths Brad used. A full list was in the description of a video, but it since has been taken down by partners of Studio Canal.
I encourage you to post it in the forum please :-)))

Here is a version I did, longer tracks and included Guns N Roses, Dwight Yoakam and George Thorogood. Again its pretty much the same stuff, I just edited some of the tracks together such as I put Target Acquired, Galleria and The Tire as one solid rack and Sarah at Pescadero as one track, etc plus a simple cover art I made https://mega.nz/#F!npsG3Y7Q!KUkZSp4pOG4Y3G2byaWRug
Will check later.
Thanks again, everybody. Also for the reps. Coverset V1 is coming along nicely and revisioned V2 and V3 is in the works.
Also: In the future I will password it and only those that ask get it.
I want to try and be sure it wont get as spread as before.
No, no, I didn’t mean the actual files from PB, and not insisting on FLAC… That matter is already resolved 🙂 I meant the rips you get from Youtube.
With youtube-dl (youtube-dl-gui-0.4-win-portable is my preferred) set to get default stream you can get exactly what’s been uploaded to YT (in PB’s case *.opus and *.aac), and just split the files with that tool. This might seem as nitpicking, but if you can avoid further degradation of already compressed files from YT why wouldn’t you, right?

Oh, no. Of course youre right.
But Im keeping all options open. Unfortunately he ceased contact. I wrote him…let me thing…last week? Maybe the the one before? And havent gotten a response yet, so files are out of the question, I presume.
But like I said: Will definitely look into that program and check it, once the new tunes turn up. 🙂
Well, there are the original tracks interspliced there and its also a temporary link. Its becoming inactive after a few days…
If anybody could help I would be really thankful, if not NP. Everyone Have a Great Week!

I dunno, man. I suppose its the same situation as with T2. All the pieces Brad needed are in the score and so thats what was released. My guess…

Are you sure the newer LP release that was co-produced by Fiedel doesn’t have more music on it?
Did you have problems downloading it?!
As for the shared soundtrack on this thread I still can’t stop listening to it, been jamming both!
It drops "Tech Noir/Alley Chase" from the Edel release, it’s missing the cue heard when Reese follows Sarah out of her building’s garage, it micro-edits "Terminator Gets Guns", and it micro-edits "Police Station & Escape"
Plus "Reese Dreams Of Future War" a bit.
I will post it here soon then!
Seconded. Need those final cues in my life.
Nice try. Varese no longer owns the rights, its now Universal Music Group. Take a hike.
Thanks.
