Final Fantasy XIV 4.4: Prelude in Violet (Gamerip, MP3 V0)

Hey guys,

Here’s the newest music from FFXIV Patch 4.4 – Prelude in Violet. There are a total of 15 new tracks, however they also reused a few songs from Before Meteor and they added a lot of new Orchestrion rolls (26 total) which are a combination of existing and new songs. New songs that I could get song titles from the Orchestrion list are tagged, otherwise they’re in their hex file name format until they can be identified in game.

bb4c1a6f is the theme of Solus zos Galvus

b65c781e is used in a cutscene in between Alphascape V3 and Alphascape V4.

I’m not sure where aff68e81, b9fbde3d, cc9c2b7e, or From the Heavens are used. I might’ve missed one or two of them from the Alphascape cutscenes (cc9c2b7e, in specific, closely resembles "Ending")? My guess as to From the Heavens is that it’s from Alphascape V4 Savage. aff68e81 could possibly be something related to the new Anniversary feature, or an upcoming seasonal event thing? Or maybe I’m way off base on that one.

Anyone know for sure where any of these four songs play?

If I’m going to speculate, the inclusion of FFVII’s Crazy Motorcycle will be the mount theme for the soon-to-be-released Fenrir motorcycle mount from FFVII Advent Children on the Mogstation (ignoring my own personal annoyance that is even being added to the game). And it’s not even a remix, it’s Uematsu’s original version of that track from FFVII.

And for those wondering, A Dream in Flight is actually a remix of the ending theme to the Story Mode from the old PS1 FF kart-racer Chocobo Racing (which of course in itself a remix of the Chocobo Theme).

Oh you might actually be right there (that thought had crossed my mind), but I’ve never played either of the Mysterious Dungeon games so I only recognized it from Chocobo Racing, which it definetely is in.

Also From the Heavens clearly has cues to, um, Torn From the Heavens and the The Maker’s Ruin, and A Land Long Dead (the Burn theme) is actually a slow melancholy remix of Penitus, the Praetorium theme. So Soken is clearly going back to his earlier leitmotifs with these latest tracks (not a bad thing either, especially when there is narrative relevance to them).

Sanctferum is correct. Dangertek on the Stormblood OST is the track I couldn’t find in previous patches. I’d recommend getting that one since the game file will be lower quality.

From the Heavens is definitely the second form theme for Alphascape 4.0. I’m pretty sure cc9c2b7e is song that plays for the very final cutscene of the Omega quests. Sancterum correctly pointed out where bb4c1a6f and b65c781e play. Not really sure about the rest, but I did kinda blitz through the new content so I could get back to playing Dragon Quest XI.
