Jurassic World – Hybrid Edition (3 Disc FLAC)

Here is my edit of the complete score for JURASSIC WORLD. It is a collection of all sources (blu ray, album, Sessions, etc). Disc 1 and 2 are the complete score. Disc 3 is trailer music, music that inspired the films music, and alternates/inserts.

This is now presented in full FLAC (from a lossless source) including source music from lossless source (Thank you to a kind contributor!)

Exactly right. iTunes is weird where I have never had luck getting it upload songs properly if I fill out the metadata for each song right. They’ll pop up in a separate album and it drives me insane.

Since that information isn’t included, here’s the information as seen in the credits:

Huh, that’s weird. I always make sure my edits are properly tagged and labeled in iTunes, then I upload. AFAIK nobody’s ever had problems. Except PC users, for when some cues have interesting characters (*, ? †, �)

I’ve had the issue where one off songs, because the ‘artist’ is different, itunes will make a separate album for it even though it’s the same album name. It’s infuriating. One reason I don’t like to use it and only use it to sync with my devices. that’s why Disc 3 has the artist names in the track titles for the most part.

Are you aware of the "sort" feature within iTunes?

I’ve realized that I uploaded an old version of my edit in error. The difference being mostly in the source and extras tracks not always having been from lossless source. Now all that could be are.

I missed this the first time around and wanted to say thank you for your efforts. I’ll admit I’m curious about much of the music in disc three. Why is music from John Carter there or Aaron Copeland’s fanfare for a common man? The rest is mostly self explanatory.

What a wonderful question!

I’ve included tracks on Disc 3 that either inspired the music for Jurassic World or were used as temp music.

‘Fanfare for the Common Man’ is inspiration for ‘As the Jurassic World Turns’
‘Jumping the Thark’ was partially used as temp music for the scene between Claire and Owen at his bungalow (and is thus inspiration for the final track)
‘The Signal’ from Battlestar is obviously inspirational for the final battle scene between the Rex and Indom.

As someone who writes music, I find the study of the film music is really enriched by understanding these influences.
