Tell me please… is the score as epic as the others.
In my opinion, this is one of my least favorite scores so far. Very lackluster.

QuQ oh… I guess I’ll give the 16-bit version a listen then. If it’s good I’ll get the 24-bit version and share it here too. If not then it’s kinda pointless.
The only things that stick out to me is The Avengers should come after Undying Fidelity and Old Tech after End Credits.
Personal taste. I’m actually enjoying it more than Silvestri’s first Avengers.

Exactly.
The only things that stick out to me is The Avengers should come after Undying Fidelity and Old Tech after End Credits.
After giving it a full listen I have realized that is probably just those three tracks at the beginning and Old Tech switched with End Credits.
Overall, for me it’s better than the first Avengers and it has some great standout moments. Too bad that none of the previous themes (apart from The Avengers and Black Panther theme, which is not included in here) return. But there are some nice new themes and the action is really great.
BTW, does anybody have the regular version and would be willing to share it. I would like to know what are the differences between both of them. Thanks in advance!
Same.
Yes, I have it. 🙂
I’ll upload it right away and share it with you all. <3
Iron Man’s Suiting Up leitmotif from The Avengers returns. Baroque is used to represent Doctor Strange (much like in Thor: Ragnarok). Loki’s leitmotif from The Avengers returns. A lot of the themes Silvestri established in The Avengers make a return. The only major one that doesn’t is Captain America’s theme.
The Black Panther theme is tracked directly from Black Panther (so to create a more expanded version of the score, the track "Wakanda" from Black Panther would have to be inserted).
Please give some examples! I’d love to know this score better. I’m fairly familiar with Silvestri’s first Avengers.

Tell me please… is the score as epic as the others.
We’re talking Silvestri here. The man that created the scores for the first Avengers movie and the first Captain America movie. Of course it’s epic 🙂 And those two movies main themes are present here.
Where is Cap’s theme?
Sure. Here’s the tracks where I picked up old themes
Travel Delays – Loki’s theme (heard best when Loki first arrives in The Avengers) is very briefly heard
No More Surprises – The Infinity Stone Theme (this was the theme used for the Tesseract in The Avengers, but seems to be used for the Infinity Stones as a whole here so is the Infinity Stone theme now for me), Baroque is also used (Baroque music is used for Doctor Strange)
He Won’t Come Out – Iron Man Suits Up Theme (theme heard when Iron Man is thrown out of Stark Tower and suits up in The Avengers)
I’ll listen to some more later and see if I can identify any more films.
No offense, but coming from a Media Ventures fan boy like you, your opinion means nothing. Alan Silvestri is ten thousand times better than any of those clowns!
Seriously, Silvestri is a Genius and those Media Ventures boys they just are noise makers lol!
I gave it a listen and I loved it. Purchased an even higher quality version if anyone wants it. (Thread 224257)

The title cue gives me so many shivers. Every time.

I didn’t even know myself that I was a "Media Ventures fanboy" even though they don’t even exist anymore! LOL. Nice try. Try again.
We’ve literally never talked (and personally I don’t plan on it) so how would you have ANY idea as to the music that I enjoy? You don’t. 🙂
It was merely my opinion on the first listen, I hadn’t seen the film or anything to correlate the music to, so I didn’t enjoy it that much. It’s not like I am shitting on your tastes; so kindly back off, thanks.
Fascinating reading, but a shame they felt they couldn’t put in different character themes here and there. If they did it with Black Panther, what was stopping them doing it at least once with other characters?
That doesn’t explain the "creative decision" to not use other themes.
They always do that. 3 Iron Man movies = 3 themes by 3 composers! Same for Thor. Captain America, 2 themes…
I’m well aware of that. It’s the one major failings of the MCU in my opinion.
I agree with that. You’d think Civil War would’ve had the Avengers theme in there at least once, but no.
Weird how Homecoming not only had the Avengers theme, it also built one of it’s own core themes around it as a darker version to foil the original’s heroic tone.
I wish more of their films would’ve done things like that.

I agree that Civil War was a huge missed opportunity also, but at least it wasn’t empty – you can hear Silvestri’s Cap theme in 1m02 at 00:39 and then his Avengers theme very clearly at 00:53. Then again in 2m22 at 00:13. His Cap theme pops up again once or twice.
I loved Jackman’s Spidey theme, particularly the clear nods to the 60’s theme in the pattern.
Thanks for the share!
In my opinion, with all respect to Elfman and his fans, that would’ve been awful. I can’t stand the fact he used his Batman theme and Williams’ Superman theme for Justice League. It goes against everything that a reboot and a reinterpretation stand for. Why would you use music from someone else’s vision of a character from years, sometimes decades ago, for the modern, fresh interpretations? It went completely against the characters in Justice League and felt entirely out of place. The rescored scenes with JXL and Zimmer’s material work so much better. Why? Because that music was written for those characters.
Problem is simple. They get composers who do their own thing or the producers/directors don’t want them to use recurrent themes or write them. Also, Debney’s Iron Man theme was barely used in the film and it’s more noticeable on the album and sessions. Tyler’s theme was good and you could hear in the movie lots of times, but most of his themes were thrown away when the schedule of Age Of Ultron’s scoring sessions conflicted with the one of Fast And Furious 7. That’s why Giacchino came and wrote a new Marvel fanfare. However, Waititi had an Asgardian choir singing one of Tyler’s themes in Thor Ragnarok.
Silvestri only quotes his own material, although his Cap America theme was never used. He went for Jackman’s Civil War approach, keeping a neutral position around the characters fighting each other. Jackman developed the Winter Soldier theme from the original screeching electronics into a orchestral theme with supporting choir. Silvestri goes back to the original Avengers theme, but he uses it a lot more and in some surprising ways (like the piano version). However, Jackman did wrote a theme for Nemo, unlike Silvestri with Thanos.
I’m actually more sympathetic to those views than you might think — I don’t believe resurrecting that old material was the best approach. I just think returning to the Raimi themes would have been more interesting, even as a failure, than what we got. If Silvestri has a specific identity for Spider-Man, I admit I missed it.
My ideal would have been to assemble a whole group of composers for these two Avenger films, just like the movie itself assembles heroes. Divide the whole thing up scene-by-scene, perhaps with a lead composer tying everything together. Would it have been too much of a mishmash? Perhaps. But I think it could work.

We did, on Age Of Ultron. And not just Tyler and Elfman, but also Chris Bacon and Paul Mounsey. And both the first Iron Man and Jackman’s Cap America scores had several additional co-composers (Jackman wrote half of both Civil War and Winter Soldier). Supposedly, Scott Glasgow wrote demos for Civil War that were disregarded by the directors.
Thanks for the share!
I think Silvestri did great here considering there’s tons of things to consider and balance. It sure would have been nice to hear Cap’s theme make a return but this time around Cap is not the Star spangled-Govt agent hence the heroic march theme is not needed. As far as Elfman’s take on the Avengers theme well its more of a remix version putting his own style into it so i think its nothing too flashy there its still Silvestri’s. I have mixed feelings about his use of the old themes he had for Batman and even quoting Supes theme by JW for nostalgic reason but since its the version of another director/team of creatives i think its better left off with a new material instead…IMO
Can’t wait for the conclusion of this film and Silvestri’s take on that. With that said, again i like the score. Works perfectly well with the film!
BTW, Cap’s theme does appear when he returns at the Avengers compound
BTW, Cap’s theme does appear when he returns at the Avengers compound
I think that’s the Avengers theme and not the Cap March theme if remember it correctly. I only happen to see the film 3 times now.
BTW, Cap’s theme does appear when he returns at the Avengers compound
I don’t remember Cap’s theme playing there. I think it was a variation on The Avengers theme.
BTW, this a really great score that needs several listens to enjoy it more, and especially after watching the movie. In the movie works perfect and outside of it, sometimes feels a bit slow during the first half, but it’s really great!. I cannot wait to hear what Silvestri brings in the second part, next year!

i need information about the exact cut/paste for cue with tracked parts …
but I edited in the parts I am sure of
also the deluxe edition is missing only 3 minutes of music (if you dont count the rearranged black panther theme)
Where would the rearranged Wakanda track would go? Otherwise, a fantastic tracklist!
2. In the movie, the first 30 seconds of We Both Made Promises is used instead of the first 30 seconds of Family Affairs, then 0:30-1:30 of Family Affairs plays (both go right before the Wakanda theme appears)
(coincidentally: the start of the Scotland scene, where you think those first 30 seconds of We Both Made Promises should be, is silent in the movie)
Did you actually make your own chronological edit, including tracked material?
I wouldn’t count on that, since Feige has essentially "snapped" all of Brian Tyler’s Phase 2 contributions out of existence by now.
Aint nothing wrong with that 🙂

Very good memory 😉 I don’t remember much of the music’s use in the movie, haha!
Just curious, what’s missing?

Someone edited the song so that it matches what you heard in the movie.
