[REQUEST] Ni no Kuni 2 Gamerip

Hello. I adore the music of this game. At the lack of a proper soundtrack release of this game (should’ve been bundled with the Prince’s Edition if you ask me..) I’m wondering if I could get some help for doing a gamerip of this game.

Inside the gamefiles, there’s two sound folders, one inside data/dx11 and another inside common. Inside the common folder, the sound folder has bgm, but as .cfg.bin files. I don’t know how to open or extract the music from them. Inside the dx11 folder, there’s also another sound folder, which has .acb and .awb files which are extractable with vgmtoolbox, and two bgm files of that (aside a lot of other sound files).. but extracting them only reveals more .bin files.

Can I get some help from some computer expert? Assist me in getting a gamerip of this done so I can enjoy the lovely music. Thanks in advance.

I could try, but there are TWO sound folders, and they’re possibly a bit sizey. But I shall give it a try, anything to get a gamerip going.

2,31 GB. But that’s all of it. I’m currently uploading the "bgm" files, there’s two of them. Extracting them with VGMToolbox reveals .cfg.bin files. Hopefully the music is in them, but no idea how to extract it.

Just change the extension from bin into hca and there we go.

Oh some music contains 6 channel at once.

Grab the second, it’s the stereo FLAC version of the gamerip, the other is the original .hca files in 5.1 unplayable without a specific program.

If you look further into the thread, someone shared a 5.1 FLAC in case you’re interested on that.
