I’m thinking of putting together a complete u4 score (with every musical cue in the game). Is this something the community would be interested in?

I love music, especially from movies/games, but I am often disappointed that publicly released soundtracks for said movies/games fall short. Soundtracks cut out cues from the original score, and I hate that. The Lord of the Rings trilogt is one of the only examples in which a studio releases a complete unaltered score… those complete recordings are awesome. There’s also a fan made complete score for Tron: Legacy, and it’s excellent too. I think the score behind Uncharted 4 deserves the same treatment. Henry Jackman did a great job. The released soundtrack for U4 is great, but it leaves a lot of the original score behind. I would like to compile the original score together into an album for all of the fans to enjoy.

This isn’t particularly hard to do, it just requires a lot of time. I’m just willing to put in that time. The process is relatively simple. I connect my Elgato capture card to the ps4 and I make sure that the music is the only thing it can hear (by disabling dialogue, sfx, etc). I play the game in a manner that allows the music to flow naturally, and I edit the music on my pc. While I don’t think I will be able to achieve lossless uncompressed quality, I can guarantee that it will be in a high-end mp3 format at the very least.

There is one issue: I am leaving the country mid-April, and I probably won’t be back for two years. During that time, I won’t be able to work on this project at all. So I can either grind it out before I leave, or y’all would have to wait for a mid-2020 release.

Thoughts?? Thanks all.

Grind it out… If you’re able to put the whole thing together before mid-April, well and good. It’s better than nothing! 🙂
