Twin Peaks – Angelo Badalamenti – Complete 26CD OST – FLAC with covers

Twin Peaks follows an investigation headed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) in the fictional town of Twin Peaks, Washington. The narrative draws on elements of detective fiction, but its uncanny tone, supernatural elements, and campy, melodramatic portrayal of eccentric characters also draw on American soap opera and horror tropes. Like much of Lynch’s work, it is distinguished by surrealism and offbeat humor, as well as distinctive cinematography. The show’s acclaimed score was composed by Angelo Badalamenti in collaboration with Lynch.

"it is happening again"

This NEW Twin Peaks set clocks in at a massive 35 discs (yes 35 discs). The first set is a massive 22CD which features all music from the 1990-91 series + Fire Walk With Me, plus a further 13 discs that covers Season 3 with supplement material and discs of bonuses.

I suspended the original upload as the set was kinda not to my liking, as kirkenshrir pointed out there were a few anomalies and a few cock-up’s. Well this has been all been rectified, with the patience and massive kind help of kirkenshrir, this set has been redone and rejigged. There are 22 CD’s that covers the first 2 seasons and film, with all the mixcloud mixes that compliment the seasons + film. All fully tagged and in FLAC (mixcloud mixes are upgrade MP3 to FLAC, but the quality is amazing). The demo’s found on the end of disc 7 has been moved to it’s own disc (with extras).

The Limited Event Series has been incorporated into the set, duplicates removed (all fully tagged + art). There is now 2 extra discs of all the songs featured in the series, as well as ‘Windswept’ CD + Hurley music incorporated as well. There are 3 discs of Qbin’s wonderful mixcloud mixes (that mop’s up missing bits and pieces). The last three discs are the 2 Julee Cruise albums (first one expanded to include 12” and 7” mixes) and the final disc is earmarked for my cassette rip to MP3 (upgrade to FLAC) of the Dale Cooper Tapes.

So, finally, the set here runs to 35 discs and 10gb in size. I am now happy with the set. There are still a few tracks missing (from end of Disc 22) and one full CD missing (Disc 21 – the mix was never published – so a new odds + Ends disc was created – it shouldn’t spoil your enjoyment), if anyone has these missing bits – please PM me or kirkenshrir , or post on the thread.

Truly atmospheric, never forgotten, haunting, scary and damn right weird soundtrack to a landmark TV series.

Not self made from many sources, it is the archive with other extras, just listen and have look at the art which accompanies the soundtracks, it’s kinda done in some order. Covers aren’t mine, but I followed the tracklist to create the version you see here, the archive was a bit all over the shop. As I got the archive when first released there were a couple of tracks omitted from the later bundled version.

yes that is correct, when the covers were done originally (not my design, I followed the tracklist on the covers to create this soundtrack) disc 21 was different, but as the tracks didn’t emerge for that tracklist I follwed what I could, and the missing tracks I don’t have at all as they were available.

2) to split it into tracks I converted it to FLAC, making the entire ZIP file much bigger…

Doing some digging, I finally found an list of official titles for the tracks on the "Dance (Mixes) of the Dream Man disc" and while correcting my playlist, I noticed my playlist was offset compared to the original… The correct order would be 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and THEN track #1.

You can then rename them like so:

Quick note for anyone who actually notices.

The music is not in episode chronological order, the last few pages of the booklet states what tracks were used in what order. kirkenshrir and I used the order that appeared on TPSD blog/archive way back in 2014/2015. The order is a pleasing musical journey through the headache that was the original Lynch TP Archive. The discs give more coherent if not run through episode order.

Not sure how complicated those name changes are at this point but I just found out that the "Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room" (5:43) from the S3 set is not just a shorter version of the previous "Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room" (9:01). It’s in fact a full version of the "Dark Mood Woods" (4:30), followed by the new season 3 "Red Room" music for about 1:13…

So, Instead of calling it "Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room (Edit)", perhaps "Dark Mood Woods/The Red Room (Season 3)" would be more appropriate? I dunno, it’s either that or taking out the scissors and keeping only the good part… 😀
