Not my rip but whoever supplied it to me didn’t supply scans, sorry. I did hunt around the internet and find an HQ cover.

I don’t remember where I got this, since I can’t see that it’s ever been shared here. This was the companion with Puppetmaster X on a LLL CD, which is why the track numbers don’t start at 1. I did take the trouble to remove the "also contains Puppetmaster X" from the cover image.

This is a lovely orchestral Band score which was semi-lost because the film itself was lost for a while. All Band fans should enjoy this! As usual, if you leave rep for me, please include your handle so I know who is thanking me.

EDIT: Thanks to Petros’s helpful reminder, I realized I got this from WildwoodPark — please give all rep to him instead of me! And if you want the Puppetmaster X score, PM him since he already has it uploaded.

Thanks for this. There’s definitely something wrong with track 23, but I was able to decode it using xACT. I can encode it to AAC, ALAC, or MP3 – which would you prefer? And what bit rate (564 Kbps max)?

Let me help you: You got it from WildwoodPark on 06-06-2016.

Thank you, Petros! For some reason I searched and searched and couldn’t find it. WildwoodPark deserves all the credit for this, then, aside from the modified cover. Give him the rep instead of me! And of course I will take this down if you want, WildwoodPark.

riegel, if you can help me with that track I’d appreciate it — high quality AAC would be best for me. Thank you!

For future reference, you can use xACT to decode FLAC to AIFF or WAV (tick the box to ignore errors), and then encode to the format of your choice: http://xact.scottcbrown.org/

That track is certainly defective. It is missing some samples around the 14 seconds mark.

How did you determine it was missing samples?

Thanks for that. Decoding fails only if your app fails on errors. You can set xACT to ignore such errors, and the resulting file sounds fine. I’m sure a purist could tell the difference though LoL!

Thanks so much RambaZamba and riegel for going to the trouble on that track for me! I’ve given you both rep for being so helpful even though I’m just keeping RambaZamba’s fresh CD rip of course.

RambaZamba, that is very interesting to learn that Band actually newly composed this. It sounds to me just like classic Band! Just beautiful at times. I assumed he had scored the workprint before it was lost. I don’t suppose you might be willing to upload scans of your booklet? I would love to learn the full background of this one since I liked it so much.

I know, isn’t it? But thanks go to WildwoodPark, who I’d forgotten I received this from along with Puppetmaster X.

Shame this is all synth. Probably would’ve sounded really nice with real musicians playing.
