or the track that plays while Rey trains with the lightsaber?
mp3 or flac? these were two of my favorite tracks from the film, and i was super disappointed to see them omitted from both the official release and the FYC release. if anybody has these i would be super mega grateful.

You might be waiting a "super" long time for those tracks. It took two years for an expanded TFA score to see the light of day.
What expanded TFA score? Isn’t there just the FYC and the OST?

The "expanded" was made through additional material from the FYC and (I think) some stuff from a Lego videogame. No extra cues through bootleg leaks or anything like that.
do you have a link to the expanded? is it Faleels? or is there a newer one?
No.
You mean Faleel’s combination of OST, FYC and Blu-ray rip, right?
So it’s a new rendition by Williams, then?

Also, to me it didn’t sound tracked from ROTJ.
Is this true? I thought it was a re-recording.
You’re joking
It could well be a re-recording, actually. Burning Homestead isn’t in the Song Credits section of the End credits. There are only the two songs in Maz’s Caste.
Those are source cues, songs meant to be played in an environment like that. Music has been tracked in The Hunger Games, Transformers, Indiana Jones, TDK Trilogy and get this – even some MCU films!!!!
Pretty sure BvS contains tracked MoS material as well.

What if instead of tracking music, those composers are simply re-arranging them? It’d be a lot easier, in case of the Emperor theme section in The Last Jedi.
In any case you seem to be right, although the tempo of the cue was altered. My method of grabbing the YouTube audio was a little unscientific (I assume it’s NTSC) but the sound of it seems to also be the same between film and 1977 version.

When they use tracked music, are those tracks credited there? I just saw that the third Maze Runner credits the Main Titles from the first film, that’s clearly tracked music: https://www.soundtrack.net/movie/maze-runner-the-death-cure/
There may be different stipulations for delineating cues like that in the end credits. Heck for all we know the music change could have been so late that the credits may have already been prepared and locked.
