Juuni Senshi Bakurestu Eto Rangers (1995)

Several years ago, I discovered the anime series known as Juuni Senshi Bakuretsu Eto Rangers. I watched the whole series on YouTube in Japanese with English closed captions. It’s about 12 anthropomorphic animals who team up and save their world. To do that, they travel to Novel Worlds, worlds of stories and legends told and written by humans. The Novel Worlds are messed up by creatures called Jyarei Monsters. It’s up to the Eto Rangers to defeat the monsters and restore the Novel Worlds. The 12 warriors are animals of the Chinese zodiac. And here are their names and species:

Bakumaru; the mouse; leader of the team
Hols; the bull
Gaoh; the tiger
Cream; the rabbit
Drago; the dragon
Nyorori; the snake
Pakaracchi; the horse
Souffle; the sheep
Monk; the monkey
Tart; the hen
Pochiro; the dog
and finally Urii; the pig

Not many people outside of Japan or the Phillippines know much about this series. I recommend it to those who are fans of anthropomorphic animals. It is funny, cute and exciting! It was a kids’ anime from 1995 until 1996. There are 39 episodes in all. The opening theme is fun to listen to and both the ending themes are beautiful. This is an underrated anime, in my opinion. I showed the first episode of this series to my fellow members of my college anime club; they were impressed.
