WHAT IS THIS?

They needed to compensate. Let’s be honest, Konami lost a lot of incredible talent to Treasure Games, and after the sucker-punch that was Gunstar Heroes, Konami had to come back with their own take on the genre. Contra Hard Corps absolutely succeeded on that score, being an explosive-laden, over-the-top platforming extravaganza. And the soundtrack matches it to a tee, only now it’s bigger-sounding and better than ever.

My goal is to present to the community well-mastered Original Sound Version / OST music of the greatest soundtracks video gaming has to offer, with an emphasis on early/mid-90s obscurities and classics. The tracklist of the VGMs is – as usual – all over the place. So I spent a few hours (really) re-organising the tracklist to resemble a playthrough of the game. But due to C:HC having a non-linear structure, and boss themes that get re-used, I’ve gone for only a rough approximation of a "playthrough playlist". I’ve edited the boss themes together to make another of my boss "medleys". Do use a player that supports gapless playback.
