Edit: Updated FLAC link.
May I ask what playback equipment/software the rip was done on?
This is the only problem with vinyl rips; playback quality varies so much depending on what it was played back on, unlike with CD’s, which are extracted digitally, and hence pretty much lossless (if in FLAC format). Vinyl itself is still the best playback medium available to the average mortal (potentially, especially if captured in hi-res, say 96kHz/24bit), but as I say, results vary so much from a 40 USB-playback turntable/record player, up to multi-thousand pound hi-end systems (such as I use).
