The Lord of the Rings
Look no further if you want the most complete selection of officially released recordings made for the Lord of the Rings trilogy in CD audio quality.
The Fellowship of the Ring
In addition to The Complete Recordings, the official soundtrack album (plus “Farewell to Lrien” taken from The Two Towers’ deluxe edition album) and the orchestral recordings from The Rarities Archive I carefully edited and downmixed the two end credits suites. Suite 1 (tracks 6 to 8) contains mixes that differ from the album and The Complete Recordings. Suite 2 (tracks 9 to 14) consists entirely of alternates not to be found elsewhere, including the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra recording of “The Breaking of the Fellowship”. Both suites are meant to be listened to as a whole because tracks fade into each other. (“The Breaking of the Fellowship” thankfully stands for its own.)
01 5:57 Prologue: One Ring to Rule Them All (alternate)
02 4:04 Out From Bree (theatrical version and alternate)

12 4:31 Moria (alternate)
13 2:46 The Great River (alternate)
14 6:43 The Breaking of the Fellowship (alternate)
The Two Towers
Some of the selections on the standard album are actually longer than those on the deluxe edition because, of course, the bonus track (“Farewell to Lrien”, musical material from The Fellowship) takes up space. In addition to that standard album and The Complete Recordings I offer material taken from The Rarities Archive and the end credits suites. Again, tracks 4 to 8 and tracks 9 to 15 should be listened to as a whole.

09 2:54 The Three Hunters (alternate)
10 2:07 Thoden Rides Forth (alternate)
11 1:45 Fangorn (alternate)
12 0:41 Their Bonds Were Cut (alternate)
13 2:14 Gandalf the White (alternate)
14 0:46 Faramir’s Dream (alternate)
15 1:05 Aragorn and Brego (alternate)
The Return of the King
In addition to the album, The Complete Recordings, The Rarities Archive and the end titles suite of alternates, there is, of course, “Use Well the Days” from the deluxe album’s DVD …
01 2:35 The Return of the King Trailer
02 6:44 The Muster of Rohan (alternate)
03 3:13 The Siege of Gondor (alternate)
04 2:01 Shieldmaiden of Rohan (theatrical version)
05 8:53 Sammath Naur (alternate)
06 2:23 Frodo’s Song (“Into the West” alternate/mock-up)
07 1:30 Elanor (alternate)
08 1:18 owyn vs. the Mmakil (alternate)
09 0:33 Cirith Ungol (alternate)
10 0:40 The Parting of Sam and Frodo (alternate)
11 1:14 The Sacrifice of Faramir (alternate)
12 1:27 Minas Tirith (alternate)

Thanks in advance! 😀
Maybe you already heard it. The "new" material in my selection is from the end credits of the extended editions, the so-called "Fan Club Scroll" plus two alternates from the theatrical end credits of TTT. So if you watched them, you already might have heard them. 😉
I don’t know … Do you refer to In Dreams and May It Be? Those are called "film mixes" as they – together with Rivendell – sound a little different to both album and Complete Recording. They are a little clearer and not as washed and full of reverb (even when the center-channel is properly attenuated), so I included both the end credits suites to The Fellowship – theatrical, and its expansion, the extended edition.
In the case of Towers and Return, the sound was similar/same to the album and CR releases. So except for The Call and Let Her Go and their surrounding pieces, there was no need to include the theatrical end credits, only the alternate suites from the extended editions’ end credits.
Tks a lot
No, I’m sorry.
Keep up the good work!
One thing I’ve been wondering about for a while: has there ever existed an instrumental version of "Gollum’s Song"? I’ve been looking for one for ages, but as it seems there’s nothing out there…
Links received! Thank you very much.
EDIT: Received. Thanks!
Wel, I included this one with the album of The Fellowship because this is where it actually belongs. 😉
Ah – that explains why I couldn’t find it! Thanks so much once again. That was a missing piece.
Once again, after telling me in private messaging that I’m a "FUCKING ASSHOLE" and for me to go "FUCK YOURSELF" I have to state that I’m very sorry that the inability to read can cause so much anger in a human-like being. Like everyone else you have been sent a whole whopping list of links. Add to that the misinterpretation of this thread: No, the thread you linked to does NOT contain my share and thus is not as complete and not as thouroughly researched, tagged etc. It does contain the whole "Complete Recordings" in a lossy six-channel format. Not lossless and not in stereo.
Leaves me to say that I’m very sorry that stupidity has the need to spread itself by plainly telling lies to others. Sorta like religion I guess.
This saves me a lot of time. I have been wanting to re-rip my CDs in FLAC but have been lazy. Thanks for sharing!
This is the error message I received "Pekingesejedi has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."
Thanks.
Cheers, Paul
Thank u soooo much
